If Oregon played the schedule I listed they'd be 7-0.
Nobody has that schedule but it would still be harder than:

Cal
Oregon State
Washington State
Arizona
ASU
Colorado
UCLA
Stanford

Hell Auburn has beaten the best you have 2 years in a row and we weren't that good.

They are SEC teams. Oregon wins 40% of the time vs SEC teams. So maybe 3-4 best case, and that is being generous considering it's higher than 40%.

How great would it be if the SEC was finally forced to play a full slate of Conference games, dropping all the cream puff opponents, and then they don't have any undefeated or 1 loss teams.

This is so enticing, so I'm sure it will never happen.

Hearing that SEC could go to 10, adding the next 2 cross over games.

I would love that. Poor Gators ... thought they had an easy schedule, would pick up Bama and TAMU while UGA would pick up Ole Miss and MSU. LOL, there goes their chances in the East.

This'll eventually lead to canceling the season.

Ivy league set the trend back at march madness. They canceled their tourney, other teams followed then they just canceled the whole thing.

Ivy league moves football to spring, Power 5 conferences reduce schedule, the whole thing will eventually cancel.

There's issues with being a conference schedule only.

So non-con is bad in August and early September. But if you make it to the CFP non con is OK in January?

Or you wait until Spring to start the season. So, 4 months is really going to change everything? Look at what 4 months has gotten us now.

If somehow mordaciously a vaccine for a virus is found before January when spring season would start, which would be world record setting time to find a vaccine to a virus, then what? You going to require and demand college athletes take the vaccine?

Nope.

This thing has blown up and it cant be controlled. Good luck Universities. If you want to take this thing serious, and tip toe around safety concerns by taking this virus serious, then I don't see how college sports is played in the next couple of years.

Even if you take the macho man approach and plow through the season with taking precautions, whoops, that precaution is what do you do week 1, 2, 3 when players start testing positive?

Whomp. Whomp.

Higher ed just bankrupted themselves.

So playing non-conference in August and September is bad, but playing bowl games and CFP in December in January would be acceptable?

What's the difference 3-4 months going to make?
