We just had 4 squadrons of planes fly over, one was a stealth bomber flanked by fighter planes. Normally given where I live this might not be a huge deal, but in these times I wonder what is going on.

So, does anyone here have experience with OnePlus brand phones?

It's time to swap out and they seem super cheap for what you get. Like 200 less than a comparable LG and 300 less than a a Samsung.

I had the One and still have the 5 from them.

They're not as cheap as they used to be relative to the competition, but they are still definitely cheaper. I've had the 5 for three years now, still gets pretty decent battery life and I haven't had any major issues. That said, I'm not a power user who's playing tons of games, editing videos, etc.

Their custom version of Android is pretty lightweight. It has a few additional features, but honestly I don't use the majority of them. The phone itself is pretty generic in terms of look and feel, but that's also not something I care about. I also don't generally care about any of the silly gadgets like pop-up cameras.

Spec-wise, they make a few compromises which is how they keep the price lower. The camera isn't as good as a Samsung or a Pixel, but more than sufficient for my needs as someone who is not a teenager or Instagram douchebag. The processor is often current-1, so I think they save some costs by going with last season's model, but definitely quick enough. They don't skip on the RAM or storage, which is unsurprising since those are among the cheaper components to put in.

All in all, I've been very happy with them. I'll probably keep the 5 until it gives up the ghost and then consider looking into whatever their current model is at that time.

Thanks! Yeah, they do seem to cut a few features but I am not sure how much they would matter to me. Like they don't offer wireless charging (QI) which is kind of annoying and they don't allow you to use SD cards which might be a problem for me with all the music I have on there.

These are my two top choices. The LG is 200 more.
