It's not surprising that players who are closer to Kobe's age would favor him. LeBron is clearly ahead of Kobe, IMO.

I'm also not surprised that MJ favors Kobe. Kobe isn't a threat to MJ anymore. I think Kobe was already retired when he said that Kobe is better than LeBron.

I think Kobe's just outside top 10 for most people. Great, great player for sure, but I don't think he could carry a team like LeBron. And Kobe got way too much credit as a defensive player.

Actually, maybe outside of top 10 for most isn't so accurate. It's more like I see Kobe ranked between 8 to 15 in most of the rankings I've seen. I rarely see him ranked above LeBron, who is usually top 5 and often top 3.

And Kobe is just simply more beloved than LeBron for a variety of reasons.

There is no legit logical case to rank Kobe ahead of LeBron once you really dig into numbers and data.
