I'm going to be in DC this week (Dull ass Airport area) and need to know if there's a chain of Caps stores. Two cousins have asked for Caps gear for Xmas and I can't get it out in C-Bus. Last time I was in the area there was a store for just Redskins, so it stands to reason there'd be one for the Caps.

Close to Dull ass if possible, because I hate DC traffic.

I don't know that there is a Caps store, but I know they sell Caps gear at Dick's Sporting Goods. There is one in Dulles Town Center that I've bought Caps stuff at before.

ponderous, man, ponderous. I went ro school in Fairfax, which is halfway from DC to Dulles, and I sure didn't go to school in DC.

It's a Washington Airport like Newark is a Connecticut airport

It's the only international airport DC has. It's only about 12 miles from the Beltway down the toll road, and 25 miles from downtown. And pretty soon, the subway will go there, too.

I very familiar with how far it is, I'm just saying it's out in rural VA, not like it's right outside the DC borders.
VA should be pissed and want some naming action.

I grew up in Springfield, and going to Dulles as a kid might as well have been going to West Virginia. It was considered way out in the sticks. But it's grown a lot since then, particularly the Dulles corridor. 28 is built up from Sterling to Centreville. Of course that could just be my perception since I live out here now. Go west from Dulles, though, and I'm with you...that's horse country.

Lol, that reminded me of a story my dad used to tell us all the time. He worked booking for American Airlines as a summer job, and he booked John Foster Dulles a flight from Dulles to Dallas. He always laughed at the alliteration of "2 tickets for Mr. Dulles from Dulles to Dallas."

When you consider that the DC/Baltimore Metro area extends from Cecil County Maryland down 95 to Richmond, it is not a stretch. I just drove a rental car from the Airport to the Hotel. This is NOT rural.

BWI is also considered a Washington airport. When I put in "Washington DC" as a destination it gave me Dull Ass, Ronnie Raygun and BWI George Thurgood as choices.

Dulles Town Center outside of Ashburn has some stores with a lot of Caps stuff in it.

Yeah, the only "official" Caps' stores are in the city at Kettler Iceplex (their practice facility) in Arlington and at Verizon Center in DC. They don't have any others in the area these days, though I think your best bet is at a Dick's or a Sports Authority. Or the online store probably would have the best selection of any of those.

I was at a different event at Kettler about 5 years ago and they had one, but wasn't sure if it was just because they practice there.

I'll look around here, this is like a shopping mecca.
