I was at a different event at Kettler about 5 years ago and they had one, but wasn't sure if it was just because they practice there.

I'll look around here, this is like a shopping mecca.

Yeah, it's their practice facility and they have some offices there as well as the
team store.

Good luck.

I went to the Dick's that everyone was so impressed by. Meh. Central Ohio has much bigger Dick's.

But I got my cousin a Vokoun Jersey.

I was kinda joking calling this place "Dull ass" Va. That description appears right on. Not complaining, I actually think it's nice to be out and not have a crush of people crawling all over you. This area is much nicer than I was expecting.

Although, I keep forgetting I am on the East Coast. People don't generally just speak to strangers. They seem a little taken aback when I do it...

Lol. And that's just the women!

Yeah, I do miss that about Ohio. So easy to strike up a convo out there.

So, I'm in the Dull ass Town Center mall killing time before I had to return the rental car. In that mall there's a sports memorabilia store. Outside the door to that store is a long line of people in Caps jerseys and holding sticks and stuff. I wander over and see a big sign "SIGNING TODAY! John Carlson and Karl Alzner!"

Signing fee: 40 dollars...

There are around 25-30 people in this line. So I'm thinking who the hell pays 40 smackeroos for John Carlson and Karl Alzner?

I shrug it off, and wander into JC Penney across the hall to look at some clothes. I'm looking at wool top coats and the guy on the other side catches my attention. You know how you can just tell an athlete when you see them? They're just bigger, different somehow. I look at him. "You're John Carlson". He smiles "Yep." I talked to him for a few minutes, nice guy. I would have asked him for an autograph, but the only thing I had for him to sign was a bottle of Coke Zero.

I left thinking about those poor people in line. If they only had interest in a top coat, they could have saved 40 clams.

You could have had him sign that Coke Zero and sold it to Ritari!

With Lord and Taylor and Nordstroms there, I am a little disappointed in Carlson, honestly......

I try to stay far away. My checking account prefers it that way.

Isn't Nordstroms one of those places where they trick women by selling shirts for $75, but put a big sign on them that says that they were originally $45,000, so in actuality if they spend $75 on a stupid fucking shirt they are really saving $44,925?

To be fair, it was right across the hall from where he was supposed be.
