I am not saying you are wrong.

But why does it seem like you want the season to be over so badly?

Where in any of my posts do I "want the season to be over so badly" ?

I'm just making a prediction...based off or news, discussions and common sense.

Why do you want the players to risk their lives for your entertainment? And the fans in the stands? Don't you worry about those people too?

How would players be risking their lives? You know almost every NBA player who got the virus didn't even know it until they tested positive? It barely affects young and healthy people.

And there won't be fans in the stands either. Do you even read the news?

You're a drama queen, and wrong per usual.

I read that Luka Doncic flew home to Slovenia. If the NBA season were to resume, there might be some complications in him coming back here since we have travel restrictions on Europe.

I'd think they'd be able to arrange a private chartered flight.

Im curious if coming back to play will actually benefit the players. I'm guessing it would end up costing teams in the 100's of million range, when you remove all the revenue made from having fans, merchandise, food, etc. while still paying salaries and the extra costs associated with keeping it safe for every person involved.
I don't know the breakdown of the revenue streams with the NBA.
If it will cost teams a fortune to finish up the season, it will end up hurting the players, as they'd take it out on the salary cap in future years.

If I understand the way things are structured correctly, cancelling the season would cost them the most.

I believe that some of the tv revenue etc. would have to be returned.

If they finish the season...they at least still get ad revenue and get to keep the tv revenue.

Plus, you know they'll figure out some way to market the virus season with t-shirts, etc. lol

Id be interested to see what the breakdown would be.

If you are paying the bills for say 10 home games, paying staff, paying salaries, paying whoever will be responsible for the safety procedures, but not bringing in a dime of revenue from ticket sales/concession/merchandise/parking, etc.
Then have to pay for travel cost to away games and I'm guessing they be bringing along whoever is responsible for the safety measures they hired?!?

Personally, I hope they have the season, as Detroit dumped their whole roster and they have the 5th worst record and they would easily end up with the 2nd worst record (they are only 1/2 game from the 2nd worst record)

On the bold, I forgot to mention in my previous post. They are looking at having all teams at 1 or 2 locations. That would save a lot on travel.
