Tomorrow is my last shift.

I quarantine for 14 days and then I'm going home!!!!!

30 days off, including quarantine.

Anybody watch Shaq Life on TNT tonight? Aired the first two episodes where they literally just follow Shaq around. It's not the greatest show but its a fun enough show, especially considering there ain't nothing else on. Couple quick takeaways, which aren't really surprising is

-Shaq is funny, like all the time.

-Shaq is genuinely nice. They stopped at a random McDonalds late night and he bought what looked to be a homeless man hanging out inside whatever he wanted and also picked up the tab for another guy who was there (who also had a Lakers tat). He also found out about an 8th grader who already has size 19 feet but couldn't get shoes (combo of its hard to get them and he's from a single parent poorish home). So he took the kid and his family to a shop Shaq has gone to for years and bought him 10 pairs of shoes which was several thousand dollars.

New York state cases as a whole are still on a relatively flat slope increase daily. It's great news that fewer are dying, but those daily cases have to fall almost completely before the lock downs are lifted, or we risk a second wave if no treatment found.

We will have a second wave.

That's not even avoidable. The penetrance of this thing doesn't just go away. The only way you could possibly do it is total martial law shutdown for two weeks and but even still you would have nurses, doctors, cops etc spreading it

They'd have to be housed away from their families like mecca has

Much of the country I'm pretty sure will start to slowly open up in a few weeks. With precautions. It won't be back 100% anywhere like it was before, for a long time.

I think we are looking until May before these are lifted as well....but May only a few weeks away.

Other way to have avoided it was no shut down and keep everything status quo. would have lost a lot more lives but it would have ended.

No, I would not have advocated for that but some did.

I hear ya. Add to the fact that I can't even go out to dinner and it's a bit of a drag...would love to have spent my day off from work shopping for used CDs and seeing a movie (the Bond movie was originally going to be out today before COVID postponed it).

should have said "at least" May in my comment. My guess is no sooner than June or even July. I think Trump will do what he is told by the docs.....remember, at one time said Easter and he clearly pushed that back.

It's possible not probable.
