Stupid to pass it in that situation for sure but one of the all time greatest plays ever for it to come at that time in a Super Bowl and Butler to make that play there. The historical implications off of the charts too. Seahawks were set to become the first dynasty since the Patriots. I bet they would have won at least another title if they won that game instead the locker room became instantly fractured and they never recovered to salvage another run. Patriots meanwhile kick started their second dynasty which ultimately tied the past two decades together into a 20 year Brady-BB dynasty that we will never see the likes of again.

I know it came in a losing effort, so it's just a forgotten footnote, but the Julio Jones catch in the 4th quarter in the Pats-Falcons Super Bowl was ridiculous, and had Kyle Shanahan not been retarded, likely would have set up the game clinching FG.

Not as historically significant as the plays listed, but a better play than the majority listed.

The Dez catch to beat green bay. You know the one, the one where the Cowboys got jobbed? Yeah, that one.

Number one is pretty solid though. Hard to beat that play.

If you did a top 10 dumbest plays of the decade Kyle Shannahan would have 4 of the top 5 ( thanks Pete Carrol l)

Like 5 of these should be various Rodgers throws. The Detroit Hail Mary wasn’t even his best Hail Mary.

Both of these are better than the Detroit throw.

What makes that an even greater catch was Ryan throwing it on the run, into such a tight window, where only JJ could come up with it.

Had it not been a do or die situation at that point I don't think Ryan normally would've thrown that ball.

Rodgers has definitely knocked Joe Flacco off the top of the chuck and duck mountain. Need I say AR is building his reputation on being the greatest Hail Mary chucker of all time.

No words to describe this.

Sorry just outside this decade but none the less painful.

As much as I hate the Pats, the Edelman catch was like David Tyree Helmet catch

Top 5 in my books
