Yes y'all are
Well he us an upgrade over heath and if we draft a player like delpit or Winfield Haha can be a bridge. Although I think Winfied and Delpit are instant starters.

all things considered.....Dallas has had a pretty good free agency period
It could have been better but it was decent. Having a winning coach like McCarthy is a plus.

I think the only thing they have screwed up is the Dak deal. With all the guys they are paying, Dak, Zeke, Amari, DLaw, JSmith, TSmith, Martin...at some point you can't pay huge money to BJones, Quinn and Cobb. With a good draft this team will be set up well for the next 2-3 years

This coming draft will be extremely important. Let's hope it is a productive one.

Hopefully Jerry can sign Prescott to a long term contract without breaking the bank.

the term I used "pretty good" can also be described as decent.
I also liked the McCarthy hire but he has a shit load to prove and in no way can it be assumed he'll accomplish the goal.

Yes, McCarthy needs to earn respect but his track record has been good. I hope Jerry gives him the latitude he needs.

Like the DT signings and realization that we were getting gashed against the run against many of the good teams we faced. Anybody is an upgrade over Heath. I like the addition of a blocking tight end. Let’s see how we close. CB is in need of stiff completion and we probably need some more completion at safety and another tackle. Punter needs to be addressed.

I'm not so sure about that. If no deal is reached and if (big if) Dak is willing to play under the tag and without holding out, then I think that could end up the best handled deal of them all

Sorry but that is horse shit. He left for more money and perhaps and not even sure about this, to get more balls thrown his way
He did say he was impressed with Watson.

I'm sure he is. My point was that is total BS to pretend that is why he signed there
I don't know about that. Cobb seems like an honest person.

Totally disagree. It's about winning, not saving a few bucks towards the cap. Every franchise QB gets their deal done when it's up. Dak is no Cousins, he's proven himself and got better every year. He's the unquestionable leader of this team, and IMO, it will be a bad look in their locker room if Dak plays under the tag. Players will question managements intentions if Dak isn't signed. That's something this team doesn't need with a new coach, new direction, and A WINDOW OF NOW TO WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP

I agree. I call BS on his explanation. He was highly involved last season and would have been this season

But it's not a few million, it's more like $150M and while we aren't in the room of course, from all accounts Dak has been offered a more than fair contract. I'm not sure his leadership isn't taking a little hit looking like he is going for every penny and if he holds out you can be darned sure it will take a hit when the team seems to have a deal on the table of somewhere around $170M. This team has been taken to the woodshed by players lately who all walk out with eye popping contracts by drawing a line in the sand. Nothing wrong with doing what's best for the team when also offering a huge deal to the player in question while saying over and over how he is their guy (just like with Zeke who they proved it with their checkbook) and thus in now way allowing their intentions to be questioned. Recently we are hearing things like "highest paid player ever". As far as the window goes this team is not at all in win now mode. They aren't even close right now. They are young and should be better on a couple of years than they are today.

The ball is in Dak's hands. Come play Football and be the richest (or top 2 maybe) guy in the league or watch your team go through training camp and learn a new Offense without you. The idea players have no role in these standoffs are pervasive and inaccurate and it isn't always the team looking like the bad guy.
