No story at that link, but my opinion of the headline is that is fine as long as we use that money saved on defense. We can bring back Cobb and we can draft a WR. This team needs to improve their defense. Hopefully we do sign Cooper and my guess is that we do, but there is so much that we can do with that money, that I am fine either way.

The only problem with Dak is that he has an elite run game, pro bowl receiver and stars on the defense and the team could only win 8 games in a division where the redskins and giants are lousy.

The Defense was a cesspool. (& coaching sucked)
The only time the Cowboys won is if they scored over 30 points.

Defense & coaching are the main reasons we only won 8 games.

Dak led a #1 offense & #2 passing offense on a mediocre team.

I wonder what Coop would command on the open market. Some sites say 20m. I have my doubts because he isn't a bona-fide star. There are issues with him and may be ones coaches don't want to deal with. 2 WR needy teams won't be in the bidding war - LVR and NYG. I think we can get him back if we want him.
