Pay Scherff and move him to LT, insert Martin and Flowers, and pray Moses rebounds

You still think this happens after the draft Skinsdad?

I say we ask for best and final offers before the draft. We need that pick and I think there will be a bidding war. I am thinking we get multiple mid-round picks now. I would settle for a 1st but I cannot see that happening unless its the Dolphins of course. I will take that 26th pick off their hands gladly.
No way, according to some skeptics around here. :noidea:

They also have a 2nd, demand it.

are we doing this again. He didn't get a first last time. Now he's in his last year of his deal and just sat out an entire season. And you think eight months later the Redskins will get even more in a trade?

The more likely scenario is a second and a player

IF we get the Browns 2nd and Njokue I would be excited. That is a huge get for TW right now.

That is a name being tossed around. I think he still has a lot of potential he got in Freddie's doghouse for whatever reason but I think he's solid

ets hope its a 2nd. Maybe the Raiders are dumb enough to give us there 2nd 1st round pick. lol

They already have two OTs. Why would they even consider a mid thirties OL for a 2nd round pick. They might get a fourth from the Patriots, who actually could use an OT.

Because TW is better than both by a lot, is 32, not mid 30’s, and the raiders are very poorly managed.

Though obviously I dobt know for certain, I would put a fair amount of money on the bet that the redskins get quite a bit more than a fourth round pick from the patriots.

The Dolphins, Jets, and Browns all need an LT, and the Jets and Browns are already “exploring a trade” for TW. You must not follow football much.

The browns don't have any good OT's right now.

I can't think of 10 LTs better than Trent right now.
A 2nd rounder is pretty fair, he likely has 3 good years left.
I was even thinking ATL may be an option,
They are some serious underachievers

  • The Athletic's Ben Standig reports the Cardinals and Texans have "expressed interest" in LT Trent Williams.
Neither team makes a whole lot of sense for Williams on paper after the Cardinals just re-signed LT D.J. Humphries to a three-year, $44.25 million contract last month and the Texans traded a boat-load of picks for Laremy Tunsil last summer, though he still needs a long-term deal. The Jets and Browns have also been linked pretty heavily to Williams.

look i would be happy if this got done before the draft . i just dont see the urgency of other teams needing to get it done

this is a good draft for Ot's so perhaps they wait and see if they get their guy

Well there is a lot of interest for TW so maybe one team will get nervous and overpay. What interesting is Houston. After giving the Dolphins all those picks for Tunsil why on earth would they want TW? I would laugh my ass off if Houston loses Tunsil to FA. That would go down as the worst trade in NFL history.

Njokue and a 2nd or 3rd should get this deal done from the Browns. IMO the Jets and Browns are the front runners.

they can be but both teams have a chance to simply draft an OT at 10/11 and save big money doing it . i hope i am wrong but we wont get what you guys think for TW before the draft in my opinion

The one thing to consider with respect to a deal prior to the draft is adjustment(s) to draft boards.

The team getting Williams adjusts because that position is in theory accounted for. Washington adjusts because that position now must be settled.
With an early enough 2nd rounder there's a better than 70% chance that they draft a potential replacement, if it's not addressed prior to that.
