It's a lot easier to be a great QB when you are playing the Giants, Dolphins and Redskins.

Honestly, I think Dack is just worried about getting injured and wants that $35M/yr contract.
I'm sure he'll start playing better once he gets that.

Well they are playing the Jets this weekend so I suspect that Dak will have a remarkable turnaround this weekend.

Way to cover yourself beforehand in case he has a big week :thumb:

Dak thru 5 games is: 4th in passing yards; 1st in YPA; 2nd in TDs; 1st in QBR; 5th in QB rating
Let's not pretend Dak isn't having a very good year so far just because you don't like him or the Cowboys.
Dak is also 5th in Ints which is not good, but let's not act as if he is leading the league by a lot there either.

Cover myself for what? I said that playing the Giants, Redksins and Dolphins will make a QB look good.

You think a QB looking good against the hapless Jets will somehow vindicate them?

Being good against good teams is what very good QBs do. Being good against bad teams and struggling against good teams is what average QBs do.

Dak is having a good year. But he needs to play better against the better teams.

Biggest homer on these boards, Wilson because he played 1 season @Whisky and Rodgers cause he plays for GB. Good news is you're are right about Wilson, but it's Mahomes and Wilson as 2 best so far this season

Since when does the quality of the opponent matter to the GOAT. It's been a 20 year beatdown of all comers.

Enough about other teams lets talk about the Patriots some more.

Top 3 is Russell Wilson, Brady and Mahomes without a doubt for me. If I had to narrow it down to two:

1. Russell Wilson
2. Pat Mahomes

But Brady is right there and I would take him for the playoffs over Mahomes.

Wasn't it Prescott who admitted to taking a sack instead of throwing the ball away because he didn't want to lower his completion percentage or passer rating? Seems like I heard of a QB doing that a couple weeks ago but I can't find the story now. And I'm thinking it was Dak that said it. Anybody remember this?

Last I checked all players get paid to play. You already laid it out so if Dak plays great this weekend you get to say it was just against the Jets. Cop out

He is having a very good year. He has been Ok the last two weeks. Not great, not bad, but does need to be better at times; more mentally than anything else. He put up 463 yards against the Pack. Ignoring the Dallas game GB has given up about 180 yards per game passing and that was probably the most they will give up all year.

Wilson and Mahomes are battling out the MVP at this point, but it can easily change week to week. All it takes is someone to lay an egg and someone else to go off and it switches. That said, I have no clue why Nick is writing an article about Dak being the 'best QB in the league'. I would take a # of QBs on my team THIS year over Dak who plays behind a very good OL and the Tyron Smith injury wasn't super serious.

Dak is playing good though (regardless of playing against inferior teams or having a good OL. I'd expect him to do well and he has), no question about that.

Being down 28 and playing against soft zones = garbage time stats...congrats, he's the new Blake Bortles

Its so funny how much shit you talk about who everyone else has played... the only decent team seattle has played so far is Saints and they lost.... at home. Everyone can see that the Rams are struggling... Bucs laid 54 points on them in their house.

You weren't watching your own team if that is what you think happened. You weren't only in zone and certainly not a soft zone. A couple of times for some strange reason your CBs were one on one in press coverage. It wasn't dink and dunk in front of the defense and if you are any type of fan you didn't think it was garbage time when they were down 10 on the 10 yard line at the end :L

The game was over and the stats are empty, but thanks for chiming in Skip Bayless.
