that's the thing, really. think defensive coordinators aren't gonna look at film and cook up ways to at least TRY to stop you...?

it IS what they're paid for, after all...
no disagreement...only issue was idea he was terrible. That's far from accurate.

So then it wasn't a matter of "one of many that doesn't like him and will go out of their way to take shots".
Actually, no, that would be a fair description of anyone who thinks he was "terrible" in that game. Especially when that same person called Rudolph's performance "solid".

Exactly. He's a 2nd year qb. QB's often see drop in production in their 2nd season for that reason. Now, it's on him to adjust to what they're doing and the looks they are throwing at him.

I think he's going to be very good. But he's gotta take some lumps. Alll qb's do.

"y'all just tryin' to dog our quarterback"-Cleveland fan:dhd:
Nope...he deserves some ridicule. Greggggggg had him confused at times. Missed some open guys high. Not as accurate as he's been in the past. Probably needs to make quicker decisions and check down more.

Or, maybe you're just a little sensitive. I don't know as that I'd say he was terrible, but he sure as hell wasn't good. Just because you don't agree with what was said, doesn't mean that someone was "going out of their way to take shots".

some of his reads were definitely off. not that it was a hard case to crack, but even the announcers said the same...

everybody can't be a Patrick Mahomes...

just sayin'...:D

It'll take a little longer for DC's to get a book on him because he is pretty unorthodox and can throw the ball with odd arm angles that you just don't see. I can't think of any qb in history who has been able to change arm angles like that and still be accurate.

And its to be expected. Kids in his 2nd year. Him, Mahomes and Darnold all in the same conference. If the Browns and Jets can get it together. Those 3 are going to be battling each other a lot over their careers.

Truth be told, I just don't get why the Browns are viewed and judged differently than any other team. They recently win 1 game in two years, and now get roasted for winning by 20 on the road. I get they didn't look tremendous, but I rarely hear about other teams who look a little off but still win get discussed like this. You always hear a win is a win, this is the NFL, there are no bad wins, etc.

I frequently hear how Baker has only beaten 1 winning team (which is true). But look at Lamar Jackson's wins. Last year he beat Cincy, Atlanta, Oakland, Cleveland, TB and LAC. AZ and Miami this year. No team with a winning record other than the Chargers, who then beat Baltimore pretty easily in the playoffs. Yet you never hear this about Lamar, and he took over a successful team, not a 1-31 team. It's like everyone has to have a hot Browns take these days.

OK...done venting.....thanks for your time.

at the very least, hopefully Baker and Mahomes can put to rest the silly idea teams need to avoid B12 QBs (and Darnold can do the same about USC QBs).

If he called Baker terrible but Rudolph solid he has an agenda. Really no way around it?

sensitive? I've pointed out many of Baker's mistakes/flaws from last night's game.

They've done a lot of talking and that was even before they got OBJ. You talk a lot, folks are gonna look to take you down a peg or 2. Especially when you are talking before you've actually accomplished anything.
