With 2019 winding down who looks to be the core position players on the team?

Gallo, Andrus, Calhoun, and perhaps, Solak?

If Santana rebounds soon and finishes strong then maybe him too.

I agree with the above but think Santana and IKF are utility guys. Been impressed with Trevino too. Bet we pick up a 3B to bridge for Jung unless he changes positions at some point. Solak batting cleanup makes me think he is surely in the 2020 plans. We may have to move some excess players

It is Baltimore. He has done very well against this type of team all year.

I think the average record of our remaining opponents is like 24 games over .500. He will lose his swagger very quickly. lol

It would be about the luck of Rangers fans for him to have a fluke month and gain another season's worth of chances though.

The worst case scenario long term is for JD to pencil odor in as starting second baseman, let all other options like Hanser Alberto and Profar go, rely solely on odor, then we get fucked another year when he stinks up the joint.

I don’t want odor off the team necessarily, but he has no business playing 150+ games a year on a major league team.

What he does against the orioles, royals, and mariners shouldn’t tell you anything. That’s where probably 80% of his hitting stats are from, he pummels shitty pitching and struggles with premium pitching.

I root for all Rangers to do well including Mr Odor. I would hope that the best players take the field Opening Day 2020 unless next year is another developmental year which it should not be.

Dare I say the best we have though not IMHO his natural position is Gallo. Forsythe can sub there probably better than Santana but I hope we don't keep him. IKF is an adequate sub not getting enough playing time
