Not sure but don't think weed is too bad, acid on the other hand . Look at Sid Barrett from Pink Floyd, poor kid fried his brain. Hank has been doing weed for 50 years and seems ok

It's a funny game we play.

I've got friends that smoked a little weed and did some drinking over the years and at 59 they look like they got run over by a train. I've got other friends that should be dead from all the coke and booze that they ingested and I am amazed at how healthy they look (for now).

Nobody that I know that did more than dabble in the acid/mushroom game (a half dozen peeps) isn't completely fried at this point.

Well, let's keep in mind that Barrett was also a schizophrenic and had episodes BEFORE the acid use started. Back then, people didn't pickup signs early and it would spiral quickly once adulthood set in. Barrett's demise was roughly right on cue for a schizo. Doing copious amounts of LSD certainly made things worse. However, there's a portion of that story which is sort of urban legend. People love a good drug/rock star story. So, they leave out the background.

The stories from his life are really outrageous and sad, though.
