Based on the team they put together 66-72 record doesn't seem so bad.

I am not understanding this. If Odor is not playing there is no point in playing Forsythe at 2b. Play Solak there. Him being the DH does nothing for his growth.

Yeah, this is a head scratcher. Forsyth is a free agent in a month. I doubt we’ll resign him. Haven’t we seen enough of him? And already resting Guzman?

Sometimes their decisions don"t make a whole lot of sense. That is for sure.

Wonder if they do intend to resign Forsythe after Rule 5 with a gentleman's agreement. Guess baby steps for Solk. At least glad he is in the lineup. Willie looks to be a permanent fixture but wonder how Gallo fits in

It is almost like they are afraid of damaging Roogie's psyche if they play Solak at 2B too often.

If they did intend to sign him, why would they need to make him the first in line to.backup 2B? Why would one thing have anything to do with the other?

I would think at this point if they had zero interest in him for next year they would release him. I think Woodward is trying to win games though so I guess he feels this is their best shot. Trying to develop a winning attitude and habit. Otherwise not sure

If he was truly trying to win games, I think Odor would be benched for the remainder of the season.

I was under the impression that odor was going to get this last month to prove himself and if he does poorly, his starting spot is very much in doubt going into 2020.

It’s hard to know what the plan is sometimes.... it seems like everything around Odor is rapidly changing except for odor himself which is maddeningly frustrating in its own right.

I think that is the plan for the most part. They are really worried about him seeing Solak as his replacement. Forsythe is clearly a backup so Odor has no worries about him playing 2B. If Odor's psyche is that fragile that should tell you a lot right there. I think it is mainly management bending over backwards and walking on eggshells for no good reason.

It must be part of another flawed process. lol

It makes me think that they’re still committed to odor if they still care about his feelings. If you took a poll right now of every rangers fan, I doubt more than half of them would want Odor to start opening day 2nd base in 2020.

I have been hearing that since they hired Banny. Does the organizational development policies change that frequently? Seems like they are having trouble developing a plan and sticking with it. lol
