I also noticed some shoddy tackling in the secondary.

Safety was # 3 on my list of things I’m worried about.

Bo saw something in him “Lee” we haven’t seen yet

Looks like Lee carried over the bad habits he gained through the Riley years.

I'll give Deontai a break. He was one of the leaders in interceptions, forced fumbles and fumble recoveries last season. On one play he was trying harder to strip the ball than make the tackle. Frost says he wants more turnovers this season so it's possible that it's being encouraged. UCF was #2 in Turnover Margin in 2017.
Regarding stripping the ball though, you can live by the sword or die by the sword.

On that other play JD made Deontai look like a rank amateur.

AM had good things to say about Williams, whether or not that was just coach talk he needs to have a big year. If they learned anything last year it's how to get yourself out of position watching Tre Neal play

None of that made any sense to me.

Which coach is AM?

Deontai was not out of position either time. JD pwned him on the TD.

I wasn't trying to imply Williams was out of position rather the Safeties can't be any worse than Tre being out of position frequently last year, he just got schooled by 10 however, great learning opportunity

AM, our QB, not a coach, just giving "coach speak" type quotes in the press about Williams safety play, in a good way.
idk if that's just AM's leadership role trying to give the guy confidence or is Williams actually ready for a breakout year. In any event it won't be long before we find out which

I also like that he's a 3/2 guy in that if something happens he still has a redshirt to fall back on
