its August 6th..the supposed deadline...
ESPN's Josina Anderson reports Ezekiel Elliott will not play in 2019 without a new contract.

Alf's price just went up
The Steelers proved they could compete without Lev Bell... But can the Cowgirls do it without Zeke? Dak isn't Roethlisberger so I have a hard time seeing that team above .500 without Zeke, even with the best O-line. Steelers had a top 3 O-line last year, and a top end defense (statistically). 2 very different offenses though, and honestly theres more to like about the Cowboys defense. But still.

Food for thought!

yeah in the seventh, of a draft void of any real prospects at RB after the first 4-5 guys, and Tony Pollard in the 4th..neither are all that good. They'll likely spell mega sloth more often than Rod Smith did in '17, but they aren't going to be Garrets guy
Yeah I think weber can play though. He was hurt, got supplanted by jk dobbins who may be a top 3 back in the country. He was supposed to be one of the best backs in college last year. Being beat by dobbins is nothing to be embarrassed about. Should give him a look.

But I also think anderson in Tampa and higdon in Houston are the best backs in their teams

With Elliott, the Cowboys are 28-12, have averaged 361.5 yards per game and 4.7 yards per rush, and have outscored opponents by 188 points, according to ESPN Stats & Information. In the eight games they have played without Elliott, the Cowboys are 4-4, have averaged 297.3 yards per game and 3.9 yards per rush, and have been outscored by opponents by 36 points.

Like you said, the Steelers have a potential HOF QB, that alone covers up a ton of blemishes. And that o-line in Dallas, while still above average, isnt the best any longer, and the studs they have, are having more and more issues staying on the field.

It'll be interesting to see how they address it, if they have to, but its a lock, that if Zeke ain't there, f'n Mega Sloth is gonna be a big part of it. If for no other reason there the ginger prick in charge likes him for some unknown mysterious reason.

Interesting. An O-line with Tyrone Smith, Zack Martin & Travis Frederick is only considered "above average" ? I know its far from a guarantee that all 3 will suit up week 1 in full health... But still. With Collins cementing his role at RT, and Williams serving as the only "weak point". That's easily the best unit if healthy.

Just injuries making you think otherwise?

For Cowboys fans or fans in general they will be "okay" without Zeke and they can just plug and play a RB...meh. Zeke is everything great, you won't find many RB's in the league that can do that. It's different if the Cowboys had a HOF/elite QB running the offense, but they don't.

Perhaps I should've said WELL above average?
But, yes, Fredrick's missed all of '18 with some crazy disease.. Is he still what he was? I think its far from a given he's just right back to all world level. Zack Martin is having all sorts of back issues, how much does that sap his effectiveness? And while Smith is still widely considered the best LT in the game, and Collins is a plus RT, the running game hay is made with the guards and centers. And it goes without saying, that the backup's for these dudes, are all flat out scrubs, enormous drop off if anyone misses time

So whole yes, on paper, they are still one of the best units in the league, theres plenty of reason for scepticism

Fair points. O-line depth has always been critical in my mind. Injuries are inevitable in the trenches.

Colbert on radio talking about rbs. Talking about ho Steelers generally don’t like rbbc, but could find a balance. Talked up james conner.

FWIW. James conner hs exactly 1 carry during contact drills in training camp. One carry on the goal line, one yard , TD

Zeke's been in the league for 3 years. The two he played all 16, the cowboy won the division title, the one where he served a suspension, they were 9-7. I don't know how WAR is figured, but he definitely makes a difference

Not this shit again.

Fantasy football is ruined if the top RB doesn't play every year. Fuck these assholes. Pay them.
