We are going nowhere fast this year. Shut him down. Put him on the 10 day IL, if he gets better good, if it takes longer put him on the 60 day IL.

Wins and losses don’t matter the rest of this year.

Just worry about individual players making progress.

Right now, almost all of my focus is on the trade deadline. It’s imperative that we make the right decisions, extract value for the guys we trade, keep the right guys, trade the right guys.

Hopefully the front office doesn’t make any blunders and we can go from there.....

But Milwaukee and the Yankees farm system is lackluster. The Braves have the goods..... it seems like they always do.

With the Braves is it position players? That is what helped turn that team around. Their pitching is so-so which is why I wonder if they have anything outstanding in the minors in the way of pitching prospects

Yeah the offense has left something to be desired lately but all teams seem to go thru a swoon at one time or another during the season. Injuries seem to have fueled this one (with Pence and Gallo being out) combined with a drop off in pitching effectiveness. You also have to wonder about "brain drain" too much study/thinking and not enough "distractions" during the course of the season will lead to the players "zoning out" and losing their edge. I always liked having a loose clubhouse/dugout (within reason) where anybody/everybody was a target, the funner your job is the less it feels like a job.

If they put him on the IL I hope they call up Heinemann maybe another RHed bat can help fix the Rangers issues with LHed pitching.

They have 2 pitchers in the overall top 25 in Kyle Wright and Ian Anderson. They also have OF Christian Pache who is #12 overall. I think any of those three would be a tremendous return for Minor. Actually, I wouldn't mind if we had to throw in someone else in addition to Minor to get one of those three.

Actually the Yankees farm system is pretty good. The problem is, the Yankees are on Minor's no trade list.
