Us - not what I expected... which I also heard everyone say lol. I still liked it and found it enjoyable. I heard a lot of people say that the comedy seemed misplaced, I thought it was fine. I thought everything was pretty good... but the story just wasn't as filled out as it should have been, due to that, a lot of things didn't make much sense in my opinion. I also thought the 'twist' ending was COMPLETELY unnecessary. All in all, I give it a 6.5-7 out of 10.

Fighting with my Family - I thought it was pretty good all things considered. I still don't find women's wrestling that entertaining at all. And I felt bad for her brother throughout the whole thing. Assuming it is historically accurate, I would give this a 7/10.

I would rather watch Us over this movie if I were to choose to watch one again, but different styles and genres of movies are often given different ratings in my opinion due to the expectation associated with each genre and/or style

Child's Play. I thought it was pretty bold to make Chucky sympathetic and misunderstood than straight up evil.

Toy Story 4 Not what I expected. The ending was sad though.
Took my kids to see it yesterday. Pretty good flick for a cartoon er what have you.

The animation these days is unbelievable.

Just watched Pokeman tonight. It had some chuckles in it, and again, the animation, particularly on pikachu(sp?) was pretty cool.

That Thing You Do! (1996)

I’ve seen this several times, including the extended version. This isn’t a “great” movie, but I think it’s a perfect movie. Very good-hearted with a deep, fun cast. This is my favorite movie.

I like it too, even though I am not a fan of either female lead.

Just watched movie 15:17 to Paris. Pretty good film. Nice that the French Govt have these American soldiers the proper recognition they deserve. Their heroic actions saved many lives on that train.

The Last Jedi

Bought the DVD at half price which enabled me to skip over any episodes I didn't like.

Convinced me that anything to do with the Rebellion was pretty bad and anything to do with the Jedi was decent even good in many parts

I saw the first Star Wars (Episode 4 they tell me?) on pcilicibyn mushrooms. I was peaking as Luke and Solo were trying to blow up the Death Star. I was so fucking in to it!

And then it ended. And I was like what the fuck??? No more movie? Such a bizarre feeling.

By the time Empire and Return of Jedi came out I was sober.

Have not seen nor will see the last 3, first 3?

Yesterday (2019)

An unsuccessful singer-songwriter Jack Malik is on his bicycle and gets hit by a bus during a 12-minute world-wide blackout. He wakes up in the hospital and figures out that the Beatles never existed (among a few other things), and only (presumably) he remembers them. He's a song-o-phile, so he recreates them and achieves stardom passing off their songs as his own. I love the Beatles but wasn't getting super into this movie, which was still decent and enjoyable, while it was going on. However, a strong 3rd act with a great scene in there really boosted it for me. A great premise that was, at the very least, competently executed. A must-see for Beatles fans.

B+

Knock Knock. Holy fuck those chicks are crazy. 4.5/10. Some disturbing shit in this with Bell (Ana de Armas) the hot blonde.

A devoted father helps two stranded young women who knock on his door, but his kind gesture turns into a dangerous seduction and a deadly game of cat and mouse.
