You're the one who said they'd be "lucky" to get bowl eligibility. You know like winning the powerball makes one "lucky".

Lucky means the odds are against someone achieving something. Are you translating your flaming libtard logic over here in saying that "lucky" is something else?

Back up your words and take the avy bet, pussy. I even gave you 1 week to 4 weeks.
Would it really matter if I modified my statement to be more accurate? "Lucky to win 8 games"? "Lucky to win 9 games"? The specifics don't matter; my comment was meant to illustrate Nebraska was an average team fighting for bowl eligibility this year and their ceiling is a perfect ceiling in which they win maybe 10 games with an easy schedule. But are more likely going to find themselves in the 5-8 win category.

You're just sniveling because Shea Patterson is considered a 3rd tier chump.
No, I very specifically said I'm fine with his placement. I can have issues with others on the list without being upset where my teams' QB places.

Lucky to go bowling
Lucky to win 8 games
Lucky to win 9 games

Are you really that fucking stupid to not see the difference in those 3 statements?

You said "lucky to become bowl eligible". Back up your bullshit, pussy.

You seem angry about it. My point was not to be stuck on bowl eligibility but to point out the quality of the Nebraska team....which is poor.

Didn’t see Lewerke on the tiers. Obviously he is Tier A.
After you go through all the numbers you get his Tier.

I was going to try and justify Lewerke being better than Martinez....but then I looked at his stats. I knew it was bad, but got damn. More INT's than passing TD's is really bad.

The Nebraska that lost to Michigan in week 3 last season is not the same Nebraska that lost by 5 on the road to Ohio St or by 3 on the road to Iowa on a last second field goal.

(0-6) start (4-2) finish.

If one can't evaluate that, they've got no business talking college football.

It's like me comparing Harbaughs first 4 years to Bo Pelini's first 4 years at Nebraska.

They are virtually identical other than Bo Pelini actually won his division a couple of times and Harbaugh hasn't.

Pretty sure that was the same team...unless the players and coaches magically changed. All teams get better as the season goes on, that's how that typically works.

He was just OK against OSU but not so great against NW. Cracking a 144 passer rating in a single game against any decent opponent on the schedule isn't great. And sure, he had a decent amount of TDs (only 17 passing TD's by the way)...but again, looking at the same opponents, 0 against Michigan, 1 against NW, 1 against OSU and 0 against MSU. That's 2 TD's against the top 4 opponents (and had 3 INT's against those 4). His rushing TD's are fine, but really only a product of an awful Nebraska team with no running game around him.

I'm not suggesting Patterson should be higher. I'm fine with the potential he has or any ranking he receives....but his average QB ranking against those 3 other teams + ND was 134.1 with 5 TD's and 2 INTs. No, it's not the greatest numbers in the world but it shows a proficiency against better teams that Martinez simply has not shown yet and Martinez in on a team that probably won't be very good. To suggest he can win a heisman this year is, again, silly. And to suggest he's one of the better QB's in the nation, above both Patterson AND justin fields is, again, absurd. Like I said in my first post, I'd be shocked if Fields doesn't end up being statistically better in most categories by the end of the year. I'm not suggesting move Patterson or Fields up, I'm suggesting removing Martinez from this list entirely.

I don't think it's unreasonable to question him being on these lists.

If there is natural progression like I'm assuming he's going to put up great numbers. Also, it's the 2nd year in the system. I think most definitely he'll be a top 15 QB next year which would rightfully so put him in this 2nd tier. He's going to blow up this season. Honestly, he'll probably have better numbers than Lawrence(even though I'd still take Lawrence as the better talent). Some of that will be due to the overwhelming talent advantage Clemson will have on their opponents, so he'll get less opportunity.

Guess not for Michigan. They looked like shit in the opener and in the final game of the season.

Nebraska will be lucky to be bowl eligible again. So putting a below average player high on lists like this, makes the opinion of the person creating the list subject to criticism.

Let's compare this "below average" 18 year old freshmen to a seasoned junior.

Adrian Martinez (18 year old true freshman)

3246 Total yards.
25 TD's
64.6% passing
8 Int's

Shea Patterson (22 year old junior)

2873 Total yards
24 TD's
64.6% passing
7 Int's

LMFAO!!!

They "typically get better"............Unless you're Michigan who lost it's last two games to Ohio St 62-39 and to Florida 41-15.

LOL

Do you ever stop digging your own hole, dipshit?

Purdue beat OSU....that doesn't mean much other than they caught OSU sleeping. NW was a 9-5 team....that team shouldn't be close to wining the division in the B10. But because of the massively unbalanced divisions, it was possible.

Northwestern got the one on the right. Michigan didn't get one at all.

As long as Wisconsin's QB doesn't fumble the handoff to Taylor, he should be in the 3rd tier.

Actually....we did (embarrassingly) we tied for the co-champs of the division.

Cole McDonald from Hawaii actually got that type of recognition!? I dig it. Kid is a BEAST. Definitely one of the premiere dual threats around.

He gotta tweak his throwing motion though. Wind-up is too far back.

Love the kid. He's a good friend of my son. Really fun kid growing up.
