Since his new deal is an extension 2019 and 2020 are probably untouchable. I am pretty sure 2019 is because I think the first 4 years of a rookie deal can't be altered. 2020 was an option and I believe once they picked up the option that salary became fully guaranteed. I have to plead ignorance on signing bonuses for extensions. I don't know how that is applied since the first year of that particular deal is a couple years away.
2019 is definitely untouchable and there is nothing to touch at only $720K. I thought you had some time after you picked up the option that you could negotiate that years salary before it becomes too late, but I'm way too tired to think clearly right now or look it up.

It makes sense but the Eagles don't have much wiggle room for 2020 to add to that cap if I am not mistaken. They are projected to be over the 2020 cap already by $40 mil. They will get under it as they always do but I don't think they will have much room to make changes to that.

Can’t they rescind the 5th year?
Also, I thought your rookie deal can be redone after 3 years?

32 a year is about right for Wentz.
I really wish the Cowboys would have extended Dak 1st though.

Pretty sure the rookie deal is set in stone. or all rookies that turn into starters would hold out for a new deal.

Is there a point? Jared Goff is probably going to get the same money. What has he done? Please don't say he led the Rams to the Superbowl because he played like shit in the playoffs. They got there in spite of him.
 Has "Jared Goff signed an extension" yet??? Again what has Wentz did to deserve an extension??? That is/was my point. :noidea:

Jesus bro. His 2019 and 2020 deal was thrown in the trash. He got a 6 year deal not 4. I think you need to do some reading and if I was as wrong as you are you’d be cursing me out over and over.

You really think he is on his rookie deal this year for aprox 7 million. He isn’t. They threw the contract for this year out and made a new one for 6 years 150 mill.
You think if Dak does a new deal this summer he will still get his rookie money and be paid 800 grand this year. Come on.

Stupid fuck moron

Has Wentz ever won a playoff game?

These dumbass QB contracts just keep guaranteeing the Patriots will be deep in the playoffs every year. Brady saves the Pats about $20-25 million a year by signing for under his current value. Good job Eagles, Packers and Seahawk franchises: you got your franchise QB but your run in the playoffs will be short, if at all.

Maybe the next collective bargaining agreement should stipulate that a player MUST be charged his full current value against the cap, regardless of his salary paid by the team.

This isn't rocket science. Brady is most certainly not the GOAT. He's a fucking system QB. But he is deep in the playoffs every year because he allows about $20-25 million a year more in payroll flexibility than the other elite QBs do and he works for a head coach who most definitely is the GOAT.

So it’s like 54 million for each game he will actually play in? What a fucking agent he has.

Carson Wentz is an elite talent and that is pretty much accepted across the board. However.........he is injury prone and that is where the big concern is. If he he can stay healthy he is worth the deal.

He was so elite last year, you wouldn't even noticed it.

1 is the number of winning teams Wentz beat last year, but he had nice stats.

What’s your issue with the Eagles? Seriously is it because we’ve beaten you back to back years in your house or what? Not trying to start shit, just curious. I think Goff is a good QB and the Rams have a really nice team... just don’t get why you non stop rip the Eagles? Was it the SB win or what?
