Nice to see you back. What happened to the Mariners logo in your profile?
I haven't had the M's in my profile in 2 years, ever since I got rid of directv. I have no cable, and Root sports is only available through cable or directv/dish, so even if I wanted to watch M's games, I couldn't.

I've had MLB.tv subscriptions the past 2 years, and changed to sd/houston/mil way back then.

The m's dogshit, and will be until Dipoto is gone and we get owners who know what the fuck they're doing. So never. lol.

They were always scheduled to play on Friday. Both semis are supposed to be scheduled for Friday.
So Fed got three days rest?? And Nadal got even more rest because of his 1,1 and 3 win?? Lol

That’s Dumbass grand slam tennis organizing for you. They are such poor beggars that they can’t put a roof over the heads of the players.

Also dumbass organizing and tennis brains is reason why A guy with erratic jackass and violent/abusive behavior called Justin Gimelstob who never won anything of significance in life was at one point elected as board of directors of the ATP.

The media is gonna go crazy in suspense and anticipation over Fedal. They will come up with endless speculation articles before they actually play the semis now.

Smart money says he loses, not sure about destroyed.
I'm pretty sure.

Fed will be competitive for a set or 2, and then fizzle in the 3rd (or hopefully he makes it to a 4th) set.

So basically the people that are writing off Fed are assuming that Nadal is the same early twenties beast ( not a 31 year old with knee and other physical problems ), and Fed is playing with his tiny headsize racquet with zero confidence who is on a losing streak to Nadal.

Yeah that can prompt a 6-0,6-1, 6-2 scoreline as Cezero is foretelling. 90% of the audience might as well stay home ( because let’s admit it’s 90% - 10% ratio of Fed fans over Nadal fans.

Yes, FED and Nadal get 3 days of rest. That's probably why FED wanted the Sunday start for the first round, so he could get that extra day later in the tourney too if he got past the QF.

not that severe. i'd say that 6-7, 7-5, 6-3, 6-1 would be more like it. so i guess i was using hypberbole when I said "destroyed".

the last 2 RG finals they played were indeed years ago, but none went beyond a 4th set, and the final sets were 6-0 and 6-1 blowouts. nadal hasn't even had a tough match at RG in the past 2 years, so it's not like he's weaker on clay than back then.

i don't want to see nadal or nole break fed's GS record, but that doesn't stop me from looking at this as objectively as i can.

Let’s just go on a roll and also proclaim Djokovic will roll over Zverev in straight sets. And Thiem over Khachanov in straight sets.

Both Djokovic and Thiem are two sets up against Zverev and Khachanov. I expected Khachanov to at least take a set.

Thiem just won 6-2,6-4,6-2. So easy!! Now I see why his coach Nicolas Massu proclaimed “we are here to win the tournament”.

I'd love for Roger to win the tournament. My second choice is anyone but the buttpicker.

I second that. It’s just plain annoying to see someone win so much on clay that their legacy screams “claycourt and oh yeah he won a few tournaments on other surfaces too”

It's easy to make the case that the buttpicker is the best clay court player ever, but if he had competed in the wood racquet era, there's no way he'd be as dominant. If he went against Borg with a wood racquet, he'd lose. He couldn't get the amount of spin that he does with modern racquet and strings.

And Chris Evert was more dominant on the women's side on clay back when.
