Remember our own Ben's 1st SB win...he was carried to that win, right?

Even though I'm not a fan of Eli's body of work either, I'm going to agree to disagree...his stats make some of your post look rather haterish.
He was carried IN THE SUPER BOWL, but not in the playoff games leading up to it. Eli was carried thru both playoff runs. His stats are a product of having the #1 Defense thru the playoffs both times. A luxury Ben, or anyone else didn't have.

Ben...64%, 56,194, 363 TD, 190 INTs

Eli...60%, 55,981, 360 TD, 239 INTs

So if Ben is anywhere near the HOF and many of us think he is...Eli's career stats are not as good, especially games won and INTs, but they are far removed from what you described.

If you want to tell me he's not a HOFer...okay, I can buy that, but calling him an also ran who was carried to two SB wins when they barely got a 100 yds on the ground and he went a nearly 300 in the second win...that falls on deaf ears with me.

As far as DEF...The 49ers had a good defense when Montana, and Young were wining SBs, DAL had a good DEF when Aikman won his SBs 2 of the 4 Bradshaw won the Steel Curtain was a top shelf DEF...whether they were the #1 or #10 in ranking matters little to me.

Again...Eli's longevity in the league and numbers he put up confirm the point that I made and you pushed back on...I said he can play. Didn't he was great, didn't say he was HOF worthy, I said he can play.

Hawks as a contender, of course.:) Not sure how many people here know I’m a Gawks fan though.:)
Just noticed you joined up in 2010. Where the hell you been all these years? Not on the Seahawks board for one, yet some how you have 25 thousands posts. Where the holy fuck do you post?

I came over with the ESPN NHL regulars. Do most of my posting there. Actually took a 3 and a half year break, or my post count would be a lot higher. I’ll try and pop in on the Hawks board in the future.:)

Patriots are not contenders. They are past, present and future champions. A league of their own.....

Did I forget to mention that at least until 2011, every single time Eli did NOT have the #1 Defense in the playoffs, he went 1 and done?

I will say that I do think Miami is the runaway favorite to get the top pick next year. Rosen probably only has about 3 or 4 games to prove he is a franchise QB and if he doesnt then I think Miami goes full on tank and loses every game.

The other two teams I would definitely give a punchers chance at making the playoffs. I don't think any of these teams can win a playoff game, however.

Miami is gonna surprise. I see them as deep in the playoffs this year

BTW, that is some troll bait.

Eli >Ben by your metrics Ben has a SB loss 2-1 =1 Eli 2-0 =2 And Atl96 has a valid point about not only Ben being carried in the SB but lowest QB rating in SB history, With the clunker Peyton put up a few SB's ago like 14 ,3 and outs in a row, that's tough to fathom. Live by the FUQER die by the FUQER my Canadian Priceline friend.

And if not for James Harrison, doesn't win SB vs AZ. The 99 yard pick 6 by a 6.9 4/40 linebacker

Shall I mention how many SBs NE's kicker has won for Brady with one swing of the leg?
