AFC South:

Peyton Manning is the most obvious.

JJ Watt for Houston.

I dunno who for the Titans or Jaguars.

Do we count old Oilers players for the Titans? If so, Earl Campbell. If not then Steve McNair? But we can't use quarterback with Manning already chosen? Makes it double tough.

I can't think of anyone for Jacksonville.

Colts: Peyton
Texans: JJ but Andre was a great...still JJ.
Titans/Oilers: Bruce Matthews then Earl Campbell.
Jags: Tony Boselli or Jimmy Smith.

I love Eddie George, and what he did in both college and the NFL surely deserve commendation.

Having said that, im trying to think of a bigger stud than Bruce Matthews, at any position, on any team, and I'm having a hard time thinking of one single name. I'm sure there's someone out there, but I can't think of anyone off the top of my head.

Since I could only have 1 RB, I chose Payton over Barry. Without that restriction, both would be on my list. The Bears to me is Walter.
Yeah. Forgot about the restriction. I loved Sweetness too. Hard to argue that. Butkus way up on the Bears list too. Cheers.

That is true. I think I'm so used to them being the Titans now that I forget about the Oilers.

(Elway) was a pretty good regular season QB, a below average playoff QB and a terrible SB QB.
:stephena:

You have a better chance of making that case for Peyton Manning than John Elway

Bruce is the best Titan/Oiler of all-time. The next guys though would be: Earl or Warren Moon.

Now you are saying Elway is better than Peyton lolzzz. It's not close...at all. Peyton is hands down better.

Thats not what I'm saying at all.

Your explanation of Elway is total bullshit though. He was great in the playoffs. Peyton is the one that needed great defenses.

If Bob Sanders and Von Miller don't exist then Peyton doesn't have any rings. Defense wins championships.

Elway was 14-7 in the playoffs. Manning was 14-13.

I'm definitely not saying Elway was better than Peyton. I just think calling Elway a bad playoff QB is just silly.

Peyton - could be the best regular season QB of all-time
Elway - a very good almost great regular season QB

Peyton - a pretty good playoff QB.
Elway - an average to below average playoff QB

Peyton - a below average SB QB.
Elway - a terrible SB QB.

Seems pretty fair to me.

Elway was not great in the playoffs and he was terrible in the Super Bowl. Terrible. Favre outplayed him and yet Elway got the win.

Elway had a 54 comp pct in the playoffs and 79 QB rating. Not to mention he had the same amount of TO's than Peyton but Peyton threw it about 400 moret times. Yeah but Elway was a great playoff QB lolz

He was a bad SUPER BOWL QB overall. Peyton wasn't the best SB QB either but he was better than Elway. Not hard to beat that though.

Just because you keep typing it doesn't make it true. 14-7, 7.6 YPA during probably the toughest era in the NFL. Beat my team. Beat your team.

Don't take my word for it, though. Go make a poll on the Broncos board and say 'Who is the face of the Denver Broncos: John Elway or Champ Bailey'

I'll wait.
