Elway has 14 playoff wins, 4 playoff 4th quarter comebacks and 6 playoff game winning drives. And won as a GM.

You have to realize that your 'John Elway is overrated' thing is mostly just you.

I'm open to suggestions about the Raiders, though.

No, it's not mostly just me... @Mebert @Shanemansj13 and many others I can't think of now.

Off the top of my head...
Jim Otto, Willie Brown, Lester Hayes, Mike Haynes, Cliff Branch, Kenny Stabler, Gene Upshaw, Art Shell, Fred Biletnikoff

Broncos - John Elway. This is easy. Their most famous player who went out on top and then also won as a GM.
Chargers - Dan Fouts. Could've gone a number of directions with this one. This seems right.
Chiefs - Len Dawson. Underrated career even among younger Chiefs fans and stuck around Chiefs radio for awhile.
Raiders - Howie Long. Great player who stuck around football long enough to have a bit of a legacy.

I would take Champ over Elway. Elway is not a 10 QB for me.

There are about 10 Raiders better than Long imo

No disrespect to Aaron Donald, who may end up being an all-time great, but the Rams have actual all-time greats like Deacon Jones, Orlando Pace, Marshall Faulk, Crazy Legs Hirsch, Merlin Olsen and Jackie Slater who are actually all-time greats to choose from.

I love Eddie George but lol. Bruce Matthews is one name that comes to mind and at RB, Earl Campbell is another guy that comes to mind.

Donald is probably top 10 for Rams but no way is he close to #1 yet

Mike Haynes and Kenny Stabler were the 2 other players I was considering.

I personally think of the Raiders Stick Em CBs as the most iconic part of the team but I'm not sure thats something you put on a Mt Rushmore

I would choose Deacon Jones for the Rams over Donald and I don't think it is close. If Donald has another 5 elite years, maybe he is in the conversation.

except he said DT and Deacon was a DE, but Merlin Olsen was a DT and IMO. Donald hasn't yet eclipsed him

Its legitimately weird to see a Browns fan talk about Elway like he was no big deal.

Agreed, although its probably closer to 3 more elite years from Donald and 5 good years after that.

Deacon's head slap would be poorly received in today's game, though.

Rams would be Jones, Slater, Faulk or Dickerson and probably in that order

Nope, but I lived in Denver during his playing days. Elway is Matt Stafford. He started winning once he had 3 Hall of Famers in their prime to give the ball to and the Broncos circumvented the cap in ways that would make the Patriots blush.
