i agree with that sentiment. But from a strictly bonding, team building , good faith standpoint, Id show up. Heck you can go and stay in street clothes

I voted no, but there are caveats.

Many vets feel like all they need is 2 weeks of camp and a couple of preseason games and they're ready to go. If you are a new WR on a team...getting your timing down with a new QB is important. I would want some time with my new QB so I would probably be there.

I think they do matter. Cohesive locker rooms are built in the offseason. But then again, it only takes 1 to poison the waterhole regardless of whether they do optional team activities or not.

what is going to be interesting is
With the steelers he was able to wait (hell fall asleep) to make his move into a hole, because the steelers line. Raking credit for his success.
When he cant do the same with the Jets line. Will he blame the Jets line for his lessor stats? becoming that poison? Or will he put it on himself (since he took the credit in Pitt)
