I really have no problem with all the upsets this year. It's not single game elimination after all.

The argument that it makes the regular season pointless is kind of bunk too. Carolina and St. Louis were two of the (if not THE) best teams for the last two months of the regular season. A team looking dead in the water halfway through the season and then getting this far in the playoffs is a very fan friendly story. It's what every sport should be trying to sell to be honest.

The alternative is having the Patriots in the Super Bowl..

Oh and Nathan MacKinnon is amazing to watch. Anyone who loves good hockey should be tuning in to watch this guy play this year. Unreal.

I agree with this. I could care less about another finals with the Penguins or Hawks. I’ve seen that, I want to see other players and how they perform on the biggest stage.

Re: The playoffs and the wild card. I don't like what's happening either. It has cheapened the regular season by having wild cards advance this far. What's worse is neither Colorado or Columbus make the playoffs if a 1-4 division playoff system existed.

Well, maybe... I'd assume (maybe I'm wrong) that if you made the playoffs seeded like that there would be more games against division foes.
