I would be very optimistic if I was a Browns fan. The QB and primary pass rusher both look to be studs. I think they have filled in a lot of pieces, and will be competing for playoff spots and possibly deep playoff runs barring major injuries. The only questions in this rush to crown the Browns are Beckham and the HC. One I've clearly given my opinion on, and the other I have no idea in which direction it will go.

I think the Browns are primed for a playoff run this year. I had them pegged to grab the AFC North title in 2020, and I'm pretty much sticking with that scenario. The way things have transpired in the division gives me reason to think they at least should be competitive within the division, perhaps even sneaking in if all goes well. But they should definitely be in the thick of things for postseason play.

I’ve never seen them listed as outright favorites. They do seem to have top 5 odds everywhere though, which is laughably stupid.

Yeah, but public bettors are stupid and easily exploitable for Vegas. Reminds me of when the Cowboys were favored against a Panthers team that went like 15-1, haha

In the long term...yes. I wouldn't put much trust into him, and was glad that both him and Antonio Brown went elsewhere (both rumoured to be going to the Niners).

Agree....but that answers the question of why they are 5th in the odds. Truth be told, though, I don't think it's completely nuts. Pretty much all teams have a huge flaw somewhere.

I'm not crowning them. I'm just an optimistic fan w/ realistic hopes for this season. Starting w/ winning more games than last year.

Have to strongly disagree. There are many bigger locker room cancers than OBJ who play for successful teams over the years. Often couldn't get past NE, but Steelers were very successful with AB AND Bell. And teammates have spoken ill of them while teammates seem to like OBJ.

I would agree it lost some steam- the much better correlation would be Sammy Watkins' health, however. RB production was actually up in some respects. People are legit just lying to themselves if they think Hunt is the reason.

If you're happy with getting the guy....good for you I guess. I wanted no part of him on SF, despite his overwhelming talent.
