Omar Epps is still on the sideline tho.
I don't think that is fair to Omar as comparisons,
I mean I thought Omar should've won an Oscar for his performance in Major League II

I haven't looked forward to a Browns season since the 90's. As far as the predictions I won't listen to any of it. I just want them to win more games than last year.
does Cooks qualify (I really don't know, but know he's been moved a lot)? Also know they didn't win, but were damn close.I have mixed feelings on the Browns. On one hand, they certainly look like they've improved talentwise, getting guys like Beckham, Richardson and Vernon. On paper, they've added talent. I also don't have high hopes for some of their competition, like the Chiefs or Colts as some do, so from that standpoint, I can see them making a run.
Having said that, at this point, they're paper champs. For as much talent as Beckham has, (arguably the best WR in the game) I have to question if his personality outweighs his production. There is a reason why guys like him and Antonio Brown were traded. It's been a while since a team won a SB with a toxic type receiver.
all good points. Defense made many upgrades on paper, and while I like this staff it is new (on D) and many have never played together. There's a lot of hype surrounding the Browns now, and understandably so, but let's see them actually win some games before buying in to the narrative.
The defense in particular has question marks IMO. A lot will depend on whether guys like Greedy Williams contribute big as rookies.
It's debatable if they're even a top 5 team in the AFC.The faves?
Yep, take it one game at a time. I think Mayfield will help with this. People can say he might be immature and all this other stuff but he is a natural leader
I'm guessing he accomplished more than many expected.....maybe even the guys who picked him.He accomplished more last year than I was expecting. And hopefully w/ the addition of OBJ he doesn't have a sophomore slump.

I'm one of the few who will admit I don't have the first clue how to scout a college QB and know who will succeed in the NFL (hell, guys who get paid a ton miss a lot on QBs). I figured they'd go Darnold and Chubb as that seemed to be the consensus. all I wanted at 1 was identify the QB they like the most and grab him.I'll be the 1st to admit I wasn't thrilled w/ the # 1 or # 4 picks last year. I wanted Barkley & Bradley Chubb.
But I was very happy when they took former Buckeye D. Ward.
OBJ isnt comparable to ABrown. OBJ might have some antics on the sidelines sometimes and with the TD celebrations but the dude just wants to win. He seems to be just fine when he is winning. Having guys he knows and trust helps too: Jarvis, Baker and his college WR coach. ABrown was just a locker room killer. OBJ also was in shock when he was traded and from what I hear his teammates loved him.

Might be....but if he was on a rookie deal would they have moved him?He might not be as bad as Brown, but that doesn't mean he's this team oriented/Larry Fitzgerald type of guy out there. The Giants traded him for a few reasons....and I would definitely say getting rid of his presence in the lockerroom was one factor.
Wow now, we're not talking the Titans here.Exactly....
They added a lot of new pieces and have a brand new coach.....it's not out of the question they are year away.....
I can see anywhere from 7-9 to 9-7.
Certainly possible that's where they finish but 10 or more would really shock you with all the additions and what at least appears to be an easier schedule (though it's the NFL so who knows about that?).Exactly....

True, but instead of playing the AFC West and NFC South it appears they play lesser divisions in the AFC East and NFC East.Plus, they play in the AFC North.
Actually, the AFCN has a good shot at being one of the weaker divisions in the NFL. The AFC East still exists, but I don't see the AFCN being good at all.Plus, they play in the AFC North.
