I find it absolutely amazing that

Dr. Strange’s 1/14,000,000 winning outcome hinges on a rat.

That's why they only won 1 of the scenarios. That damn rat must have missed his bus all the other times.

( @BusSport you can delete this if you think its getting too close to the guidelines of the Entertainment forum of not being political/social commentary)

I want to be clear that I'm not phrasing this as an attack so don't mistake this for an attacking tone. The sentiments you've expressed here is the PRIME reason stuff like that scene is done to begin with. Your views are what's being pushed back against. Not because you're purposely trying combat anything, but because you're not open to the idea that other groups take in and perceive situations differently. Whatever you perceive as fun from a film is good enough for everyone else and they should get on board. In these types of movies, there's tons of scenes where the male members team up, do some cool shit (pick any example. Let's say Cap wielding Thor's Hammer. Whatever. Doesn't matter.). You say "That's awesome." and think nothing else of it because you're male and you're use to seeing things like that. A little girl though sees a scene like that "That's awesome...but how come no one that looks like me ever gets to do any cool shit too?". Now sit back and think to when you were a child. You gravitate towards things that are like you because its easier for your brain to relate to something you know (which is yourself). For boys, it isn't hard to find those instances. Standard operating procedure in literature/film/pop culture predominately gives a lot of those instances to males historically. For girls, it hasn't been that way. It's starting to change with more characters, scenes, larger roles etc. So when a little girl sees stuff like that on screen, she gets to feel included just like everyone else. She too can have the full enjoyment of the film.

But any time some scene like the one we're talking about pops up in anything, you get reactions like yours and a lot of reactions far more negative than yours is shaming the fact that it was even done. "Why is this being done? Can't they like what I like? Stop shoving this down my throat". The effect, whether you realize it or not, ends up forming into something that prevents stuff like this being done in the first place to stop a change to the status quo. It keeps other groups (in this case, girls) left out, not having the full experience that a male audience would get. Are scenes like that forced or fan servicey? Sure. But so were a 100 other things in this and all comic book movies. This isn't something like Ghostbusters where they lazily just put women in the roles and tried to sell you on the fact the film is woke now. It was a 10 second scene of many of the already established characters being on screen at the same time. It's a moment for fans of those characters, but especially girls, to say "This is awesome" with no "buts" after just like you get to experience. Stuff like that is what makes watching movies fun. Now think back on all the moments you've had like that watching movies when you were younger. It's the same idea. By doing things like that scene, now everyone can have those experiences. It wasn't always the case.

Holy crap dude, it was one observation out of many. You know what else sucked? The Hulk. Does that mean I'm alienating fucking meathead body builders or people with syphilis?

You guys take this shit way too seriously. The movie wasn't even that good, ffs.

But that's the thing though. If its about equality, they SHOULD get those scenes. It happens for the males. There's scenes where all the male characters show up for something cool and fans can nerd out. There's scenes where its mixed and fans nerd out. So why can't there be a scene where its all females?
You are wrong it never happens for the males. There is never a scene where it is intentionally all males to show the viewer how the males are great.

Exactly, it's the way it was disgustingly force fed. They can give the women heroes their moments without having it be "in your face".

Take Scarlet Witch for example. Infinity War and her small amount of time in this one really highlighted how much of a bad ass she is. As a more casual viewer of the franchise I knew she was powerful but it wasn't until the last couple movies that I realized shes one that can really kick ass.

And it didn't require anything obnoxious for me to realize that.

8 chicks(most really irrelevant characters) walking side by side in a "you ready girls?" moment was just over the top
I just re-watched Civil War and one of the most important and strong characters is Black Widow. She was smart enough in the big battle to know the right thing to do and she is the one who convinced Tony Stark to get his head out of his ass and go help Captain America She did they and there was never a "hear me roar" pushed in your face. She is just another hero doing hero shit.

I know I'm not the only one that will be glad that Stark is gone. His arrogance was at max for movie.

I was a little dissapointed with the movie it was extremely long and I felt there was only like 25min of fighting. The rest of the movie was really seeing each character reference something from their own movies.

I hope they dont plan on making any more avengers movies soon I am stoked for a guardians of the galaxy part 3 with Thor on the roster.

I’m kinda glad they didn’t tack an end credit scene into a 3 hour long movie, but I think it would have been hilarious if Stan Lee’s cameo was in that and they did the Ferris Bueller it’s over go home bit. Too bad they already did that in Deadpool.

Or they could have gone meta and have him wake up like it was all a dream and he gets on the phone with a guy named “Jack” on the other end of the phone telling him he’s got a great new idea.

End Game was a good movie, well worth going to the movies to watch again. Thor and Rocket stole every scene they were in, while the Russo brothers did little favor for one of the strongest, popular characters, the Hulk. About ten minutes of air time in three hour movie, with really no scenes the last half hour of the movie. That is my biggest complaint.

I.can only hope for another Guardians movie.

You literally highlighted the section about the all female scene from a post and commented on it. You felt that strongly on it to solely talk about that specific point. There's a reason you did that. You and others, felt the need to call it out over other fan servicey scenes as opposed to just plot point complaints listed. It was obviously something about that scene that made you feel some type of way to call it out and its not just because it was fan servicey.

You are wrong it never happens for the males. There is never a scene where it is intentionally all males to show the viewer how the males are great.

There is. You just don't realize it because when you're so use to it. It's ingrained. You think its just male superheroes doing superhero things. This was a short scene of females doing super hero things in a movie filled with other superheros doing super hero things. But it bothers you because its too obvious that they threw out some fan service for some girls? Why is that?

Lame. Don't know what critics saw to give this convulated and bloated dumpsterfire such high ratings?

Oh yeah and there's no easter egg after the credits. As soon as you lost the three hours of your life watching this mess, just go. Don't lose anymore time on it.

Hey, not everyone can keep up. It's ok sport, one day you'll understand what good storytelling looks like. Probably right after you discover the word you were looking for is "convoluted."

Convoluted: adj.
Something Avengers: Endgame is not.

Convulated: not anything.
Maybe try the pop-up dictionary?

FTR, when I saw that 10 second clip of the women all together I knew that there would be a bunch of dudes offended that a comic book movie would try to appeal to non-males. How dare they try to appeal to the other 50% of the population.

You say there is but cite no examples. There are zero that happen due to the gender of the males and its pandering and belittles the female heroes.

Waiting for you to cite examples where all males are in a scene because they are males.

How bout 90% of films? Arguing that there aren't examples of males being tokens when they are the default is ridiculous. How many films are made where there are either ZERO women or the only women are pure props for the men? 90% of movies?

So no examples got it.
