Yepper Treff that is the main highway from Montreal area to outer suburbia north east of Montreal. big time pile up thankfully no one killed Let me tell ya it was freezing cold that day and the pile up closed the highway for quite a spell. So open your trunk get out your sticks and go .... The road was a sheet of ice and black ice

What a shit show that was. I can appreciate defense but my goodness did Goff look bad. He looked like Blake Bortles throwing the football. Not many spirals and WAAAAAY late on a sure TD to Cooks.

I agree. I like good defense too, but that wasn't good defense as much as it was terrible offense by both teams. Yes the Patriots moved the ball better but Brady looked bad on some throws also and I have no idea why they didn't run the ball more than they did. The Rams were just completely bad. They didn't even try and run the ball and Goff looked horrible. Can we petition the NFL for a Chiefs vs. Saints Re-Super Bowl this week? I guarantee you that game wouldn't be 13-3

So my brother and I went to the first game of the Alliance of American Football between Orlando and Atlanta and it was a lot of fun. It actually wasn't bad football after the first quarter at least from the Orlando side of things. Hell, we even pulled off a version of the Philly special for a touchdown and dominated Atlanta 40-6. We ran and threw the ball well and the defense completely overmatched Atlanta. We got pressure all night (you can only rush 5 guys and all must come from between the tackles and within 3 yards of the line of scrimmage), stopped the run, and intercepted 4 passes and we were just a lot better than Atlanta. The passing plays that seemed to be working well for both teams were crossing routes, so it will be interesting to see once teams watch tape if the linebackers stay home and hit those guys coming across the middle instead of letting them run free. Overall it was fun even though it did sprinkle most of the game. It was only $20.00 each for the general admission tickets and even though that meant you were supposed to be in the upper deck of the end zone, you could really sit anywhere because the stadium was only half full. Prices for food and beer were ridiculous just like any other stadium, but the 20 oz bottle of coke for $4.50 really took the cake. LOL. The game was played at the University of Central Florida's home football stadium which only holds about 35,000 anyway and they only filled up half of it and that was with giving first responders free entry tonight. I liked the no kickoffs and no extra points rules and the game did get over with in two and a half hours which is one of the things Bill Pullian was shooting for. There really wasn't that many penalties, although it's a little bit ridiculous that an illegal defense penalty is 15 yards. We'll have to wait and see what the next game brings, but overall I'd say it was a B+ for me. On a side note, the Orlando team is called the Apollos because it's the 50th anniversary of the Apollo moon landing. The guy that brought out the ceremonial first ball and delivered it to the referee was Walter Cunningham who was one of the pilots for the first manned Apollo mission which was Apollo 7 so that was kind of cool, especially since the city Lefty and I live in is where the Space Shuttle used to launch from.

I really like the sky judge idea in AAF. Why hasn't the NFL done something like that? Seems like something the NFL could really benefit from. At least from a quality perspective. Controversial calls were constantly showing up on a weekly basis.

Pretty sure everybody that isn't a New England fan will be a Rams fan in a couple of weeks. You can count this Dolphins fan in on that too!!

I'm a couple weeks late on this but ...

Let's go pats!

I honestly never get tired of them. I could watch Brady and bellicheck torture the league for another decade.

Stuff like the falcons comeback in the super bowl just brings me joy.

As a hater. And I will admit I am a hater. It doesn’t hurt them that they play in the worst division in football. And the AFC is much weaker than the NFC.

Ummm no. Hell no. No appreciation whatsoever. If Tom Brady lost a limb and Bill Belichick lost his mind, there is no chance in five years I would think, man I really shouldn't have taken for granted how great they are. Fuck them. Fuck them with a big rubber dick.
