The only thing I wonder about is how close that PG13 deal was and why Lebron wouldn't commit if he knew PG could come to Cleveland. There is no way he leaves Cleveland if they get him and really all they would need to do is get role players around those 3 guys, if you don't like the current role players trade them and substitute.

Sure there is.

What comes first, the chicken or the egg?

Gilbert wanted LeBron to commit. But LeBron was never willing to do that because he didn't trust Gilbert.

So when Gilbert failed to rehire Griffin and get those moves done, he lost any chance to get LeBron back. Gilbert knew what he signed up for to moment LeBron inked that first 1 and 1. While he won't admit it publically, Gilbert's moves indicate he wanted LeBron to move on.

Ramona Shelburne's ESPN article on Durant is pure nauseating.

What an ass-kissing puff piece.

ESPN is so shameless and will kiss ass and avoid so much negativity for access its disgusting.

Really? What kind of nice things are they saying about your buddy Kareem Hunt?

quote from a The Athletic article on the Sixers--- the always eloquent Jimmy Butler:

Butler forced his way out of Minnesota, fully expecting that he would have to adjust to different schemes and personalities without the benefit of a training camp.

“I didn’t have a camp nowhere. Fuck training camp,” Butler said, before acknowledging the importance of coming in with a prepared system, rather than developing one on the go. “It definitely makes it easier, for sure, when you have a training camp. You get used to all of the offensive play calls, the lingo. You get familiar with everybody.

“Training camp is huge, but whenever you’ve got good players, I’m telling you, that shit finds a way to work itself out.”

lol....from "fuck training camp" to "training camp is huge".

i loathe Jimmy Butler.

There you go. Picking on semantics again. This time from Jimmy Butler.

While he probably could have elaborated a little better, his point is clear.

Training camp is helpful, but not necessary when you have good players.

disappointing that this garbage pail kids of a team always seems to get the best of the sixers.

I have and yes, I think Giannis is now better than KD.

Someone try and convince me I'm wrong.

It would have to hinge on shooting. Obviously Durant is far superior at shooting jumpshots, both midrange and 3 pointers. In today's game that's a big deal.

But for everything else yeah Giannis is better. At the tippy top level it's hard to definitively "prove" who's "better". Depends on team fit and a lot of factors and you can't really prove anything. Part of the fun of sports is of course the arguing about it.

Tippy top guys are pretty much LeBron, KD, Giannis, Harden, Curry, and Embiid. RW is maybe too. If Paul George is now going to play this well for a while he is too. No way to "prove" who's "better" in that group.

To argue KD vs. Giannis is to bring us all back to the reality of the game, KD is playing with some studs, Giannis is with some solid cats throughout, but to wonder how they would do on the other team, GS still looks so good.

It's all a matter of opinion.

John Collins or Kyle Kuzma?

I am going Collins.

Collins is younger and better.
Kuzma is better NOW, offensively.

Collins has way more upside.

If I'm win now, Kuz.

If I'm rebuilding, Collins.
