Speaking of Adams, with the thunder releasing Abrinas that leaves Adams as the last remaining piece of the Harden trade.

to be fair did you say they would be garbage without Giannis in a previous post?

i think there is a rather large gap between garbage- and average- which you call them in this post.

are they a playoff team without giannis?

may be- maybe not.

They're a playoff team 100%. They would win 45-47 games

i think its as simple as they would win more games with Gortat than Zubac and they want to keep their draft pick.

Then they probably should have stuck with Gortat since statistically, Zubac has been a little better all season and a good bit better for the past several weeks.

In his 1 game so far with the Clips, Zu had 12 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks.

Maybe they figure Gortat being a vet still gives them a better chance at winning though? I could see that.

I can see Adams possibly. Big men take longer to develop
Let's put a pin in this convo for say, 2 more Seasons?

If he comes anywhere close to Adams, I will admit I'm wrong before God, you and Lakers nation...lol

I don't see Adams at all.

I see Cole Aldrich his last Season with the Clippers.

Fools Gold.

ehhh i dunno about that....i mean- maybe but i think thats a pretty high estimate.

maybe now with mirotic its possible

i think theyd cmpete for the 7 and 8 seed but what does that take? being .500 or slightly less?

I see Cole Aldrich his last Season with the Clippers.

Steven Adams is really really good- especially defensively.

Zubac is nothing. He is an after thought.

Gortat only played 16 mins a game.

Token starter.

Yo.....did you see we cut our Drunk Serbian?

I wonder if the Suns are mad they ate that Tyler Johnson deal now?

such a strange trade

I mean- i guess the Suns figured its better to pay Tyler Johnson 19M and get something out of him than pay Ryan Anderson 16M and get nothing out of him- but still.

very odd.

Again:

I can admit that @trojanfan12 is correct.

The kid isn't garbage.

That is being too harsh.

But, he's a 3rd string Center on most rosters.

He is a fricking project.

The people who are saying otherwise are just fooling themselves.

Up until about 6 weeks ago, he was a foul a minute type of guy.

Dude...lol

I love Bledsoe.

Wish we never would have sent him packing.

Brogodon is solid and steady and I really underrated him.

Middleton is a bona fide All star.

Brook is perfect next to Giannis.

But, without the Freak I'm not positive they'd be .500

ETA: Holy Shit.

I'm arguing for nothing.

You didn't say .500...lol

I agree this record is possible.

They'd be on the Hornets level without Giannis.

But, that's not a good team...imo

Possible, but you get that Cleveland team swept Toronto and beat the Cs and the great Brad stevens without home court?

You get that the Celtics are not as good as we thought last year and Toronto is much better this year, right? I stand by it. This Laker team is better than last year's Cavs.

Yeah, I did.

Actually, I said worse than that.

I said the Lakers and Bucks would be HOT BUTTERED GARBAGE without LeBron and Giannis.

That's not true.

Major embellishment to get my point across about Why I think the Freak should win MVP.

Even though I walked that statement back, I did indeed say it and I was wrong.

He was probably there teaching Zion how to steer his way onto whatever team he wants to play for. The draft? That’s just a suggestion Zion.

OK that's really weird. I didn't write this post, @dtgold88 did, post #20488

But it shows as a reply to me, and I got an alert as well. I SWEAR we are not alts!

So tell me exactly what Mr Flop Harden has done this year exactly? You could say that Chris Paul and Westbrook cancel each other out and then the fact that the Thunder have a better record. Paul George is a top 5 defender and Hardens defense well lol.

Wow, you are saying Paul is anywhere close to Westbrook's value? Uh, ok sure. Won't even mention Paul having missed half the year. So chalk up one OKC fan who thinks CP3 is around the same level as Russ.

That has happened to me before too.

I was actually posting under someone's screen name.

It was hella weird.

I think I logged out and logged back in and it stopped.

I have decided I like how you put a line between all your major points.

It really makes it easy to read and seems to give each point added credibility.

I am going to use this at select times going forward if it’s ok with you!

I don't even completely disagree........my issue is the cavs' FO would have been roasted for letting their best player walk.

That said, on such a short deal, they absolutely could have moved him during or after this season if there was a player in trade they wanted or in FA after the season.

You are very sensitive about how much the Cavs get credit or blame for stuff. Relax, no one cares anymore. When you have LeBron on your team you get extra critical takes. Now it's the Lakers turn.

And yet The Joker is the only NBAer leading his team in points, rebounds, assists & steals (and only Russ has more trip-dubs this year) & he wouldn't even get a vote. He has the Nuggets in 2nd place in the WC & the Nuggets have missed more games due to injury than any other team. That was mentioned on a Nuggets pregame show last week.

Yep, this is what I mean. Harden, Giannis, Embiid, George, Jokic, Lillard, LeBron, Curry, Kyrie all can make a case (in a vacuum) and all deserve votes. It won't be a walk for any winner.

Definitely no run-away winner this year.

Playing the long game with an alt I've known on Rivals for like five years (I'm sure he's been there longer)

Impressive commitment

But finally the curtain has been lifted
