I don't think the Lakers are going to beat the Thunder or Nuggets in a 1st round match up either. Which means they really need to get #5 or so, IMO

They have a better chance at beating those 2 than they do the Warriors. But you're likely right.

It's a different level, and Warriors-specific. The Thunder don't have flexibility to add much to their roster, and don't have enough to get past the Warriors. Now, if he had joined a team that could put 2 max contracts with him, that would be different. Maybe if the Warriors lose a star or two in the coming seasons, that all changes?

i just dont know how you could possibly say that OKC is NBA purgatory

I would lean to GS losing a star next offseason or the following so purgatory seems extreme for OKC.

I dont think Magic ever wanted to trade the great majority of his roster in the middle of the season. I cant begin to think that was ever the plan.

I think LeBron got impatient, and Paul started moving pieces around and with all the leaks and the not provable tampering things got out of hand and a lot of bad blood was made.

This is my opinion as well and I'd think Magic would have a strong enough personality to tell LeBron to sit and spin.

Odds of them getting AD either way now are about non-existent. Well next year anyway.
