Gun to your head....

Gilbert Arenas or John Wall contract?

Hilarious that the same team paid both guys.

* It should be noted that the gun reference was totally unintentional.

I pull the trigger on the gun.

So some have reports there is no way they deal KCP so they can have more cap room next year and some report he'll be included. .........unnamed sources, of course. The unnamed sources need to get together and get their facts straight, don't they?
the only reasons things get leaked- unless out of incompetence- is to try and give a team an advantage.

in my mind- we have so many reports on this AD deal becuase all parties involved are kind of at eachothers throats and dont like eachother----

Rich Paul leaked the trade request to try and cut the Pelicans knees out from under them--- the Pelicans leaked the Lakers shitty initial trade request to make them look stupid and weak----

i think both parties hate eachother and are both leaking out and out bullshit to be honest.

I mean Hart's fine- but in the grand scheme of things does Josh Hart make or break this deal? of course not

what makes or breaks this deal is draft picks and elite young players.

the Lakers had 5-6 years to gather young players and picks to make this kind of deal- and they have what they have which is just thoroughly unimpressive.
Off topic....

Did you hear what Lavar said about Kuzma and Hart?

That mofo said..

You ain't hear about no Kuzma, no Hart before my son put them on in Summer League.

Those stands are empty if my Son don't play big minutes. Kuz and Hart are ragedy if Lonzo ain't on the court with them.

* awkward *

@dtgold88

John Wall is a very good player when healthy.

He is also locked up for the next 4 seasons for $171 million.

Please answer this direct question:

Does his contract make him more valuable, or less?
I always answer direct questions. He is now far less valuable.

Your turn.......do you really think an exploding Achilles can be compared to a sore toe?

I mean- why even offer guys like Zubac and Hart?

who gives a fuck?

what they want is draft picks and elite young talent

the Lakers just dont have much elite young talent or much draft picks.

Yep and the plan would have to be wait until 2021 to get AD
You might get a big time FA this summer but likely not.
They would have to hope the young core gets better.

Imagine if Lebron would have went to Philly.
IMO He would definitely have Simmons and Embiid and he would also have Redick. They could have still tried to pull off a tried for Butler even having signed Lebron. That's two, possibly three players better than anyone on the Lakers roster and it isn't close...at all.
Now in L.A. they have to trade the entire team to get AD. They literally could have traded Embiid almost straight up for AD if they really wanted to and it would be considered a bad trade for Philly.
It's night and day.

Or just the mouthy father. I think he's part of Lonzo's problem.
He needs to shut up.

Why make it uncomfortable for your son in the locker room?

He didn't have to say Shit about Kuz or Hart.

He basically said they are trash if Lonzo isn't on the court with them.

honestly no team should give up ANYTHING of consequence for Lonzo Ball. He is not moving the scales either way either

the Lakers have 2 guys that have some weight in a trade offer- Kuzma and Ingram

Kuzma, Ingram are by far their best assets-

if the Pelcians demanded Kuzma, Ingram and 4 first rounders- the Lakers should say yes.

all the rest- Ball, Zubac, hart, etc...its all bullshit window dressing

the Lakers best young players that dont have baggage like crazy are Ingram and Kuzma---- Ingram is a year from free agency--- -Kuzma is a 4 year college plyer----- Both have value but neither is an elite prospect.

add the 4 first rounders and be done with it if thats what it takes--- you are getting off easy if you ask me considering the Lakers dont have that One great guy to build a deal around.

Now?

i will reiterate my previous post: dude that contract is like if you took barrels of nuclear waste and soaked it in ebola virus and sprayed sarin gas on it and then had Charles Barkley take a dump on it after a night of drinking and mexican food. lol

that contract is worse than Miguel Cabrera--- worse than Chris Davis, worse than Gilbert Arenas

Shit.

I actually didn't even see the Achilles news.

Same question, but for Mike Conley.

It does make sense, but it also ignores the risk that comes with waiting.

If the Knicks win the lottery, Kyrie pledges allegiance to Boston, and AD takes a trip to Toronto where he falls in love with the city and two canadian strippers... Pels will be VERY glad they waited.

If the Knicks fall out of the top-5, Tatum slips in his kitchen, and Kyrie retires early to start a hippie village in Nepal.... they will deeply regret waiting.

Two in the bush can be tempting but one in the hand is real.

Even if all those things happen, there will be lots of teams that will have a LOT more flexibility in the offseason to make a move for Davis.

I didn't see the Achilles news. Was using him as an example assuming he would be good to go next season. Now he isn't and his contract looks even worse.

Just went back and looked at that trade. Look at all the future first round players selected in the trade lol

Traded Keith Bogans, MarShon Brooks, Kris Humphries, Kris Joseph, Gerald Wallace, a 2014 1st round draft pick (James Young was later selected), a 2016 1st round draft pick (Jaylen Brown was later selected), a 2017 1st round draft pick (Markelle Fultz was later selected) and a 2018 1st round draft pick (Collin Sexton was later selected) to the Boston Celtics for Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Jason Terry, D.J. White, a 2017 1st round draft pick (Kyle Kuzma was later selected) and a 2017 2nd round draft pick (Aleksandar Vezenkov was later selected). (BOS got 2017 #1 overall pick from BRK as result of pick swap)

So the Lakers, Cavs and obviously C's all benefited from this huge ridiculous trade in the long run.

Sixers not much see... Markelle Fultz Stats | Basketball-Reference.com

What were the Nets thinking LOL

you get the guy who asked that didn't even know Gilbert's achilles was blown apart?

But I suspect you do know. Do you know the difference, though, between a blown up Achilles and a sore toe?

Now, @dtgold88 answer my question please.

Does Mike Conley's contract make him more or less valuable?

He is actually very comparable to Kevin Love except he is only signed for 2 more years after this. Both good players, not great.
