I mean the newest article on ESPN lays out the Pelicans position and it makes a ton of sense if you ask me

The Pelicans are demanding a shit ton of draft picks in order to bypass their right to market him in the offseason when other teams cna get involved more so and the draft is set.

If the Lakers were going to get him now they were going to have to pay a premium- and they just dont have the quality of assets to do it.

The Pelicans can and should demand a young All-NBA like talent, a premium draft pick, cap relief , etc.....Davis is 25 and has 18 months left on his deal. They should get a RIDICuLOuS amount of capital- an the Lakers just dont HAVE a ridiculous amount of capitl unless they want to get crazy with future draft picks.

I wonder what the Lakers would say to Ingram, Kuzma, Hart, taking Solomon and 4 first rounders.

They would say fuck off.

thats what its gonna take to get a 25 year old top 5 talent in his prime though DJ- is a "fuck off" type of deal. I dont know why you would have ever expected otherwise

just wow.....

that might be the worst contract in the history of sports now.

4 years 160-- just kicking in this year--- and the dude just had his infected achilees that he had surgery on explode.

holy shit - -especially for a plyer like Wall who lives on his athleticism. That is just awful news. I feel bad for him. Thats a long long road back.

Talk about "timing is everything".

I actually feel bad for the Wiz now.

Of course they would.....why make that trade?

Lowry isn't good.

I would have gladly accepted it. Give me Conley over that due any day in the playoffs

The idea that you, some random fruitcake on the internet, keep saying you have provided us with unquestionable facts and evidence has me pissing my panties with laughter.

" Don't believe some unidentified source and believe me, a unidentified source".

Lmfao.....oh the irony.

clearly a bladder control issue...

lol, sorry. A straight line's a terrible thing to waste... :heh:

lol, so we offered all 5 of the young guys, and 2 firsts? Yeah, good luck to the Pels in the offseason. It'll be interesting to see how this unfolds...

Late Monday night, the Lakers changed their offer at the request of the Pelicans, two people said. The Lakers had agreed to send their entire young core of Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and Ivica Zubac to the Pelicans, as well as veteran guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, the people said. The Lakers were also winning to also send the Pelicans two first-round draft picks.

The Lakers were not going to give the Pelicans the six to eight draft picks they wanted for Davis, the person said, knowing that the four first-round picks and second-round picks were more than the Lakers would offer.

You know Lavar is bad when a Celtics fan doesn't want the Lakers to have to deal with his shit anymore. lol

Too bad there's not a way to get Lonzo & mouthy father over to a league in China.

The idea you think Love is more valuable when he can leave as a FA is comical. Should have read that first as I would have just skipped the rest.

The idea that you think Love is more valuable signed for 4 years at $120 million definitively proves 1 of 2 things:

1) you have a homeristic value of Love
2) you don't understand NBA economics.

I am thinking some combination of both.

He's The GOAT of untradeable contracts.
Gun to your head....

Gilbert Arenas or John Wall contract?

Hilarious that the same team paid both guys.

* It should be noted that the gun reference was totally unintentional.

John Wall is a very good player when healthy.

He is also locked up for the next 4 seasons for $171 million.

Please answer this direct question:

Does his contract make him more valuable, or less?

...as they should. Lowry has a year left and Valanciunas has a player option. They would have to throw in 1sts or Siakam (which they won't). Nice job alienating your starting PG though...
He was already alienated.

He hasn't been right since his Boo-thang got traded.

Yeah...bad enough more than one of you doesn't get this. The deals we are hearing are rumors and nothing more. as I'm trying to explain to you.

I didn't read much into it but was Memphis interested? Not sure who would else Toronto would have to give up but the clear cut choice is Conley-Gasol and it is pretty easily. That is the best defensive starting 5 in the NBA. I would throw in a 1st for this maybe 2...who gives a shit about late 1st round picks.

Lowry
OG
Kawhi
Ibaka
Jonas

or

Conley
OG
Kawhi
Ibaka
Gasol

makes more sense

Not really. If the Grizz would've initiated it, they would've been looking for youth and picks in that mix somewhere, not another year of two oft-injured and pricey players. That trade would only have saved one year of Conley.

Now?

i will reiterate my previous post: dude that contract is like if you took barrels of nuclear waste and soaked it in ebola virus and sprayed sarin gas on it and then had Charles Barkley take a dump on it after a night of drinking and mexican food. lol

that contract is worse than Miguel Cabrera--- worse than Chris Davis, worse than Gilbert Arenas
