In Rio Grande Valley sector today at the southern border.

Brownsville area has 35 miles of fencing and accounts for 6% of illegal apprehensions.

McAllen, 45 minutes to the west, has sparse fencing and accounts for 94% of illegal apprehensions.

But walls don’t work, right?

Actually, you just proved that they were unnecessary where they currently don't exist.

Careful, that almost comes across as a threat.

Take it for what it's worth, but I assure you these discussions sites are being monitored. A statement like "I'm all for destroying Michigan" might not be interpreted as innocent by those who are charged with such monitoring.

Then, those monitors are poor monitors.

Sounds to me like you're trying to police thought, expression or humor. Doesn't fly with me. And don't try and hide behind "monitors", you're trying to say, "watch what you say or you'll be doxxed and punished in the crucible of social media moral outrage".

So nothing

I believe that YOU inadvertently answered your own question when you posted the report showing people stopping other people from doing something illegal. Remember the Fentanyl bust? No wall, get it?

Again take it for what it's worth to you. I have nothing against what you post, in fact I invite your opinion as much as anyone else here. However, there are truly forces that are monitoring these sites. It's not a scare tactic, unless you're easily frightened, just a word to the wise.

Yes, the FBI is corrupt and partisan and weaponized. That said, jokes are not threats and even a leftist FBI wouldn't waste their time on a post such as mine. Grow a thicker skin, whatever color it may be.

Once more, a word to the wise from someone who learned the hard way to make clear those times when your expressions have humorous, innocuous as they might be, intent.

IM actually shocked no one has mentioned that one of the larger drug companies is being sued for intentionally helping create the opioid crisis while also planning to corner the market on drugs to treat the addictions they knowingly created.

Damn Mexicans
Regardless of who started the game fact remains it’s being imported through the southern border .

Seriously???

So here we have proof of a major AMERICAN company. INtentionally creating a drug crisis. Worse also planning to profit off that crisis by selling not only the addiction, but the cure... for a cost of course. And you think the main issue is not that the addiction was done intentionally, but that once people could not afford to LEGALLY feed their addiction, or treat it....

No the real problem and clear and present danger is now that people who were victimized by Americans, have turned to illegal drugs because they cant afford, or get access to the legal stuff.

This is a problem that America created, yet now we are blaming the Mexicans.

Yep! point is, wall or no wall, it's going to take people to effectively secure the border. Why waste it on things, like a wall, that has little to no actual deterrent effect, when there are much better instruments available that strengthens what we already have? I've read all the posts here and there's not one that addresses this point. Why? I suspect that the politics of that simple minded thing ( a wall) is carrying the conversation.

For the record, are there better ways to secure our border?

Anyone who says no, is simply playing politics against an avalanche of professionals, who insist that there are much better ways to do so.

Why not both? A wall, and more people, camera, guns, etc.

And I have decided we should use the same strategy on the border that we use to address gun violence

You build the wall and then you can watch over the areas with people on the ground where the wall can’t go . Of course technology will be on the wall to prevent tunneling . The professionals on the border want the wall by a vast majority

And what magic technology is going to stop anyone from coming across our border unempeded? , cameras , drones and your magic technology are part of the solution not the hole . You need it all .

Deflecting again .

Nope... just pointing out the hypocrisy of what is and is not considered a crisis by some people. I personally dont consider the border the crisis you apparently do.

And what was your lesson learned, if I may ask?

Sure, to be absolutely clear on the intent of any and all posts.

It's interesting how something as innocent as "I'm for destroying Michigan" can be seen as a serious threat, worthy of investigation, when there's an incident in that state or any other simply because the intent wasn't made clear from the beginning.
