Former WS Champs. Hope this updates in 2025
Really lacks credibility to omit Hans C
It will give them more experience hitting against lefties then. That is a good thing for this year isn't it?
I don't have a problem with the players being managed correctly at all. It just seems a little silly this year to worry too much about how many lefties are in a row in the lineup. To me this is more of a managing the lineup type decision instead of managing the players.Yes it is about development but players need to managed correctly. Need to break up the lefties. Would love it if DDJ becomes productive at the plate

A lot of times guys on rehab assignments will hit lead-off so they get more at bats. It may be a terrible way to manage the lineup, but a good way to manage the player.
Then, I think even in contending years some tend to overthink putting too many lefties together in the lineup.
Mainly, I was just throwing a lineup out there to generate discussion.
Agree. These guys have experience as you noted. They need to improve from either side.Mazara hit .240, Gallo .210, Odor .257 and Guzman .208 against lefties last year and they played a majority of the games at their positions.

I also agree with that just think his suggested batting order needed to be adjusted a littleYou succeeded sir. I tried to soften it a bit. Just think even if our team is not a contender we should still try to win with caveat of giving players who are our future getting sufficient playing time
If we simply lined them up in order of 2018 OPS, here is how the lineup would look.
Choo
Gallo
Cabrera
Mazara
Odor
Guzman
IKF
Andrus
DeShields
He did manage to pass Choo in the second half of 2018. lolAre you sure DDJ would even make the lineup based on OPS?
Better hopes this year
And neither need to be here.He did manage to pass Choo in the second half of 2018. lol
Wonder how many get their asking priceThis is pretty amazing.....and .... a good reason why
Elvis may not opt out
