Bryant, Longoria irked Harper, Machado still free

I get tired of hearing these players whine about guys who refuse 300 million dollar contracts in hopes of getting 350 million dollar contracts.
When Harper turned down the extension offered near the end of last season by the Nats, many pundits thought he would be close to landing $400MM. Now that seems nearly impossible.

That being said, these guys have families and need to worry about securing their futures.

Hence why I said machado...

By the Stanton contract really screwed up their market
Stanton is a good player and all, but that deal did break the brains of good player successors to Stanton.

And I have no problem with these players getting paid whatever they can.

But for other players to whine that it is taking so long for these players to try and extract every dime they can is just ridiculous. If Machado and Harper wanted to sign a contract they could do so today and they would both be historically huge contracts. But they are trying to get teams to pay even more. That's their choice but I'm certainly not about to feel pity for them.

I'm praying these guys get paid, I'd hate to see their families starve.....Must be stressful times.....

I was being facetious with my blurb about them securing their futures. Contract sizes are starting to contract a bit since last year it seems, not to be redundant.
