Well who could ever be compared to Lebron? We might not see anyone who had everything going for him like Bron did out of H.S.

I have my doubts about Zion bc of his lack of size, it doesn't look like he has much of a shot (mid-range or 3) and yes his lack of size could put him in a weird position bc he can't defend the post but he can't shoot?...where does that put him? Can he guard the perimeter? He is unlike any player we have ever seen...definitely some damn good things about that but a lot of question marks. I honestly have no clue how his game will translate to the pros.

Is he like a shorter, more athletic Julius Randle with a better ability to shoot as of right now?
id def take Zion #1 but i would not complain about Barret or Reddish #2 and #3.

honestly I think Barkley is the best comparison for Zion.

That's a great comparison but in today's game it could be harder to translate that to the NBA. That being said, I still take this freak of nature at #1

I think Barrett could be Wiggins 2.0 with less athleticism. Not very efficient. He went 4-17 from 3 and 8-30 overall last night. The last thing the Cavs need is an inefficient scorer. He did have 9 assists. He is still young but it scares me.

i would absoloutely hope the Cavs would at least explore DSJ- he is similar with Sexton, but like you said, the guy is a recent lotto pick that has shown he can perform. you can never have enough talent.

the only way I would deal him if i were the Mavs was if he was simply not willing to take on any role but starting point guard. If he insists on being a starting point guard then you will have issues.

Let me get this straight...

You want the Cavs to explore a DSJ trade even though he is essentially the exact same player Sexton is. Won't that stunt Sexton's growth?

Interesting.

It really depends on what the team needs, imo.

Sexton is a better scorer/shooter and better free throw shooter. He's also quicker. He will likely be an elite scorer.

Lonzo has elite vision and passing skills, is the better rebounder and better defender.

Their handles are about even.

If my team needs scoring...I want Sexton. But I'm going to be working with him on the passing, rebounding and defense.

If my team has scoring, but I need someone to get them the ball and play more of an all around game...I want Lonzo. But I'm going to be working with him on shooting.

Sexton's impact on a game will always be pretty easy to see because all you have to do is look at the points.

It's been interesting watching the Lakers with Lonzo while Lebron and Rondo are out. It has really magnified both his strengths and weaknesses.

Without Lebron and Rondo, the Lakers offense comes to a halt when Lonzo is out of the game. So, it shows how important he is to running the offense.

But at the same time, when they need points, Lonzo isn't providing that. That 3-7 record without Lebron might be 5-5 or even 6-4 if Lonzo was at least solid at scoring.

And he has improved his shooting......from 36% and 30% to 40% and 32%.

Not great but if he ups that to 42-43% and 34-35% next season.....it'll be a good sign.

It's all about improving.

Yep 36% to 40%. I mean it is difficult to start out any lower. I am really not sure how you get worse than 45% FT shooting but he did.

honestly I think Barkley is the best comparison for Zion.

Everyone forgets how damn athletic Barkley was too in his prime. They just remember and now see Fat Barkley.

He was very athletic and to think Zion is even more athletic at 280 is crazy. It will be interesting if he needs to find a 3 point shot though. Barkley never found a shot but in today's NBA it would be very beneficial if he did. At least he shoots from out there unlike Simmons.

Barkley was 6'6" 250. I'm not sure what he was coming out of college but 280 is just crazy.

Except there's always a guy not going through a rut who's more deserving.
of course, but the point of the all star game is the fans want to see specific players. There are plenty of guys not in a rut whom are also not fan favorites.
