Something that we aren't privy to had to have happened in that clubhouse.

Otherwise, this is very premature imo...

Yeah, both guys need the ball.

But, Doncic is too slow to check Pg's.

So, they will have to start Brunson.

Maybe they fit better.

But, even Monta and Steph got lo get then 40 games.

And Montae was a 2nd round pick....Not a top 10 pick so yeah I would give DSJ more time unless the offer is crazy

Top 4 picks are a function of being terrible. No. 1 picks are a function of being lucky. Especially now.

2014 1st overall - 9th worst team
2013 1st overall - 3rd worst team
2012 4th overall - 2nd worst team
2011 1st overall - 2nd worst team
2003 - 1st overall - worst team

Yeah definitely A LOT of luck in 2014 and to get 3 in 4 years is crazy but they were really bad for all those years. Lets add another #1!!

I never heard of him until recently, looks like he is jumping into the top 3 interesting. The Cavs have a PG though...could be a great pick for the Suns
Dude is literally jumping over people...lol

Plus, he's dropping dimes.

23, 6 and 11 while shooting over 50% from the field.

I expect teams to figure him out, like they did Tray Young.

And, he needs to improve from 3.

But, he is fun to watch.

One of those #1 overall came from the Clippers.

So, that was a combination of our buzzards luck and your bowtie boy magic.

the Lakers are really being tight-lipped about any kind of time frame for the return of LeBron. I googled a couple articles, and checked the twitter pages of a few reporters, checked ESPN and there is really nothing near concrete- just pretty much vague speculation.

they play the Bulls tonight and LeBron is not playing.

At this point, i would doubt he would be back for OKC on Thursday and prob. even Houston on Saturday.

Would he come back next Monday, his first game back against the Warriors? That seems doubtful.

If I were to venture a guess i would say his first game back will be against Minnesota on the 24th.

Who knows though- i suppose it could be for OKC on Thursday too- there is just so little information out there about his injury.

Not surprising. Groin and hamstring injuries are probably the 2 hardest to really get a definitive answer on.

Both can feel great and then one move can cause a recurrence.

My guess is that's part of it. I'd also guess that the Lakers are using this as a bit of a "test period" for the youngsters. They aren't expecting to win a title anyway, so may as well rest Lebron as much as possible and see how the kids respond to it to help them with decisions they will need to make later in the season and in the off-season.

Did you guys see what Marc Stein said about Marc Gasol?

Seriously, could Gasol get a 2 year deal worth 36 mil?

Way to many starter quality Centers out there this Summer for me to believe he will opt out of 25 mil.

Marc Stein: One whisper making the rounds: Marc Gasol can become a free agent at season’s and, amid a growing belief around the league that he will indeed exercise that option, Memphis could be moved to explore trading Gasol now rather than face the threat of losing him without compensation

theyneed to do something thats for sure

Certainly wouldn't hurt. lol

My concern would be with his age (he's 33). But he's maintaining the same numbers he has throughout his career. He would instantly become their best rebounder, 3 point shooter and 2nd best free throw shooter.

If they traded for him and sent back equal or close to equal salary, they'd keep their max spot open for the off-season.

I'd be surprised if he has much interest though. I know when there were rumors about this 4 years ago, he said he wasn't interested because of how Pau was treated his last couple of seasons.

I'm hearing he is the next RW. Makes sense...that description sounds exactly like RW

Zion had 35, 10 and 4 blocks last night. Let the ping pong balls bounce the Cavs way :hope:

Big issue I see is defense, but he's young. He can block shots, but he's not much of an on-ball defender from what I saw last night. 1-5 from 3, 1 assist even with Jones out most of the game. He's definitely not Lebron, but what will he be at the pro level?

It's been interesting watching the Lakers with Lonzo while Lebron and Rondo are out. It has really magnified both his strengths and weaknesses.

Without Lebron and Rondo, the Lakers offense comes to a halt when Lonzo is out of the game. So, it shows how important he is to running the offense.

But at the same time, when they need points, Lonzo isn't providing that. That 3-7 record without Lebron might be 5-5 or even 6-4 if Lonzo was at least solid at scoring.

Big problem with Lonzo out is that lately that means Lance is in. He's not a point and is too busy laying on the hot sauce. Lonzo's biggest problem is confidence; there's just no better explanation for his shooting woes across the board, including chippies at the rim. He may never be a solid 3 pt threat, but to miss lay ups and put backs as badly as he has just shows either fear or a lack of confidence. Lebron seemed to be taking him under his wing weeks ago, and I think he needs that again.

Yeah especially given his age, he's not going to recoup that money. Only way he leaves all that is if there is really something wrong with the organization that pushes him out the door. Get that 25M, then ring chase the next few years. Warriors could always use another center...

Well who could ever be compared to Lebron? We might not see anyone who had everything going for him like Bron did out of H.S.

I have my doubts about Zion bc of his lack of size, it doesn't look like he has much of a shot (mid-range or 3) and yes his lack of size could put him in a weird position bc he can't defend the post but he can't shoot?...where does that put him? Can he guard the perimeter? He is unlike any player we have ever seen...definitely some damn good things about that but a lot of question marks. I honestly have no clue how his game will translate to the pros.

Is he like a shorter, more athletic Julius Randle with a better ability to shoot as of right now?
