Will Muscha..ahahahahahahahaha! Sorry....couldn't keep a straight face on that one.

Ya missed on that one. Muschamp didn't coach for Saban in Tuscaloosa; he coached for him at LSU.

Enos to Miami.

Who is gonna be Bama's OC next year? Butch Jones?

Locksley to Maryland
Brent Key to Georgia Tech
Gattis to Michigan
Enos to Miami
Why the fuck would Dantonio not go after an alum in Enos? I hate to say this but it is getting time for Dantonio to either fire the entire Offensive coaching staff or retire because he is letting this program die.

Let's lay this out easier for you.

The first recruiting class he had a hand in was 2012. In the previous 4 classes (2008-2011), michigan brought in 16 4* defensive recruits, with only 6 of those being in the 2010 and 2011 classes (prime age for him to coach up).

In total over his first 4 years (2012-2015), they brought in 24 4* defensive recruits, all of them coached by him.

Now - Are you really telling me it's just a coincidence that michigan had more NFL talent come from the guys he got to recruit than the ones he didn't? That he didn't play a role in that at all?
And in those first four years, of all that talent brought in, how many made it to NFL Rosters? Michigan recruited well under Hoke. No question, part of that was Mattison early on. That was also almost a decade ago.

Here's the ultimate point, I think Michigan will upgrade at defensive line coach now and likely wouldn't have otherwise. He would have been kept on staff, given a raise, until he retired. I also think OSU could have gotten a better coach, especially with the "Co-defensive coordinator" tag.

So...

You're a Bama fan?

As the guy (carson) already pointed out, he's a fan of college football & watches a lot of it. Colorado is his favorite team, but that doesn't mean he can't admire or comment on other teams.

Alabama can't keep a coach. Everybody constantly raids the Tide for talent. That's just the way it is....:L

Cool, lets see how he does without an offense that contains a million 5 stars at every position.

Dantonio is standing firm on the sinking ship to protect his friends he hired as assistant coaches. You would have thought that this year's offense was bad enough to get at least one guy fired....especially your OC which the entire fanbase wants gone...but damn. To hold firm and fire no one? That shows a stubbornness that will get a HC fired. But can MSU fire Dantonio? It seems like Dantonio is operating under the belief that he's immortal at MSU.

House should have been cleaned after 2016. And again after 2017. Yes I know we went 10-3 but that was all smoke and mirrors. The offense didn’t get any better, but the defense got significantly better which was the cause for the uptick in wins. Now after the offense has hit historic lows, no one losses their jobs we just move them around and hope and pray we some somehow figure out that they should be trying to score points instead of getting the ball back to the opponents as quickly as possible. Arguably the best defense in the conference is being wasted by this obstinence.

Blame it on the Chicken Curse. Dantonio is a coot and brought it with him.

Of all that talent? By the time he got there, 2/3 of that "talent" were already upperclassmen or gone. Again, why are you ignoring that their defensive talent level shot up since he got there?

Maybe michigan will, maybe they won't. Acting like Mattison is just some guy is still foolish. He's one of the most respected defensive coaches in college football. He's obviously not a long-term answer in Columbus, but his experience is going to be perfect for our younger defensive coaches. Bringing in Washington further makes me believe that he is going to be replace Mattison once he retires, and he'll have done it under Mattison's tutelage, which is irreplaceable. We didn't bring in Mattison to be our DL coach - we already have arguably the best one in the nation. He's yet another experienced, successful defensive coach to add to our room.

Regardless of his age, michigan will not be better for having lost him.

He didn’t do a good job of bringing it since he brought three conference titles and a playoff appearance to a horrible team.

His infection is an old one. It takes time for it to take effect.

So you think it was all just a huge coincidence that your defensive recruiting was trash until Mattison got there and then once he got there it improved dramatically, but right it had nothing to do with him.

This was a huge pickup for OSU. Having two veteran coaches like him and Larry Johnson on our defense is huge for not only recruiting, but also for developing our younger defensive coaches. If there are a billion other guys under 50 that are just as good at identifying DL talent, michigan wouldn't have offered him a 2 year extension right before we took him.

So it took all of like 4 days to convince yourself this was a huge move? Lol.

I disagree wholeheartedly. The coach from BC we just hired as a replacement for Washington, was rated better recruiter than both. We've seemingly improved one coach already. It won't be hard to replace a 70 year old who was close to retirement; a guy we demoted 4 years ago.

You're talking about how huge of a move this was, when like 4 days ago, it wasn't.
I said I wasn't a fan of them making him the DC without someone young learning under him ready to take charge. Bringing in Washington obviously changed that dynamic quite a bit.

Exactly. This is just what Harbs needed to elevate UoM from has-been status.

You should start printing your Revenge Tour t-shirts now.
