Ya, that'd be a hell of a return. He might be too far on the "already contributing" scale to make sense for the Leafs. They want to get better today, not break even ya know?

But it seems like he might be available via trade in the offseason with all the contracts the Leafs have coming up. The Bolts have a similar situation, RFA's that need signing (Point especially), with limited $$ available to sign them. Point would be a guy I'd consider a Ghost deal for. The Bolts have a ton of money tied up in forwards already, I think they have 6 guys over $5M/yr. A potential steal like Ghost would look really attractive to them. Would take more than that probably, as Point is going crazy this year, but could be an interesting starting point.
I dont think Ghost would be enough for Point as he is 22 as good as an offensive player as there is and is only getting better every year since coming into the league. i always say to myself why cant ever get a player like Point at 79 instead of the mediocre first and second round players we have gotten since 2014

Ya, that's why I said it'd probably take more than that. Unless Ghost cranks it up in the 2nd half.

Also, a dman with 65pt potential at 78th ain't too shabby. In the 3 years prior to his one, Ghost has averaged a 56.4 point pace, don't underrate him too much because of a tough first half this year. (granted he was drafted in 2012)

This would be awesome but im not sure they would be able to give up that many picks as i think they dealt a lot of them away last year.
Yup, didn't even think to look at that. Everything I've read though seems to indicate the league still hold Simmer in high regard and the Flyers will get back at least a 1st wherever he is dealt.

Yep, this seems to be the going rate. I'd love to get a prospect closer to NHL readiness though, but those seem less likely in TDL moves.

Flyers look to avoid ninth straight loss as they come home to face Stars

I dont know if this is right i heard JVR back up to the top line.

Lines at the morning skate according to Isaac were

JvR-Giroux-Konecny
Lindblom-Couturier-Voracek
Laughton-Patrick-Simmonds
Raffl-Varone-Weise

But Gordon likes to hide his line combos until the game. So we'll see. If it's that, I like it. With how things are going this year, you might as well do everything you can to get JvR going. The investment is too big not to.

Hart was a monster 37 saves
JVR i wish the whole game could be played only from the goal line to the face off dots in the offensive zone
Patrick had his best game by far in a looooong time
Folin 7 blocked shots
Gudas 6 hits 2 blocked shots and 4 SOG

I haven't heard what he actually did. Do you know?
this is the best thing I could find, but if it's Torts one can only guess.

Your guess is as good as mine here, though Bobrovsky and coach John Tortorella apparently got into it on Tuesday after the goalie got yanked in the third period against Tampa. So a decent bet would be that there was some sort of blow-up, or missed meeting.

I think you look for another partner. The article mentions the Leafs, Jets, or Flames also. And I've read the Leafs would probably have interest.

The Leafs have a lot more assets I would be interested in. They've got the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounders in 2019. I'd also be interested in Kasperi Kapanen as one of the young guys on their roster that they might not be able to afford in the summer (he'll be RFA). Andreas Johnsson, same thing. Lilegren and Sandin are both very good prospects. If the Leafs want Simmonds, they have enough pieces to put something together that would make me happy.

Jets
Have their 1st and 2nd rounders. Vesalainen would be a great get, but I doubt they'd move him. Niku and Appleton are both interesting names too.

Flames
Have their 1st and 3rd rounders. They have a couple decent prospects, but I like the possibilities from TOR and WIN better.

Bruins (I've seen this elsewhere too)
Have their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounders. Donato would probably be too rich for the Bruins blood, maybe Vaakanainen.

And I bet a few other teams would be interested too.

LeBrun Notebook: Power forward rental market emerges,...

LeBrun says the easiest question would be "which playoff team wouldn't be interested in Simmonds". Mentions Nashville and Vegas in addition to some of the ones above.

Nashville has their 1st and 2nd, and Florida's 3rd. Tolvanen and Fabbro are interesting prospects. No way they move Tolvanen for a rental though.

Vegas has their 1st, 2nd, and three 3rds. They've also got a lot of interesting prospects. Glass, Elvenes, Suzuki, Brannstrom. They have plenty of ammo to entice me.

Misleading headline. It should say "Should the Flyers Trade Wayne Simmonds"
True i just copied and pasted it. I didn't even look at it after i pasted it or i would've put a disclaimer of a false headline.
