Awaz in analytical stats is there a stat that counts how many strides a player takes during each game?

That is what i was trying to figure out. How many strides does a normal player take per shift as compared to him.

Hm, not that i'm aware of. I would find that to be a super interesting stat though, most definitely. Or at least distance traveled.

This article gave an example of Simmonds going to TB because last season they had no answer for Tom Wilson. If that were to happen what do you think we would get back from them for Simmer.
1st and 2nd or 3rd...

Looking through their assets, they're a bit of a tough one to partner with on Simmonds. Their 1st rounder is tied up as a conditional pick to NYR. 2nd rounder was already traded away too. So assuming they're not looking to part with much off their NHL team, you're looking at their prospects.

Raddysh, Katchouk, Volkov, and Foote are all decent prospects, but no real big tickets in their group.

With this being said do we look for another trade partner or do we get what we can for Simmer instead of losing him for nothing.

I think you look for another partner. The article mentions the Leafs, Jets, or Flames also. And I've read the Leafs would probably have interest.

The Leafs have a lot more assets I would be interested in. They've got the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounders in 2019. I'd also be interested in Kasperi Kapanen as one of the young guys on their roster that they might not be able to afford in the summer (he'll be RFA). Andreas Johnsson, same thing. Lilegren and Sandin are both very good prospects. If the Leafs want Simmonds, they have enough pieces to put something together that would make me happy.

Jets
Have their 1st and 2nd rounders. Vesalainen would be a great get, but I doubt they'd move him. Niku and Appleton are both interesting names too.

Flames
Have their 1st and 3rd rounders. They have a couple decent prospects, but I like the possibilities from TOR and WIN better.

Bruins (I've seen this elsewhere too)
Have their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounders. Donato would probably be too rich for the Bruins blood, maybe Vaakanainen.

And I bet a few other teams would be interested too.

Grain of salt: no idea if any of those teams would part with some or any of those guys. Just tossing some assets out there that might be a starting point.

I would like to see us get a 1st rounder but like everyone said may not be possible with TB. Hopefully there are otger teams that will show interest who have something to give up that we need.

IMO Kapanen from the leafs would be awesome. Hr seems like a very talented player.

Ya, that'd be a hell of a return. He might be too far on the "already contributing" scale to make sense for the Leafs. They want to get better today, not break even ya know?

But it seems like he might be available via trade in the offseason with all the contracts the Leafs have coming up. The Bolts have a similar situation, RFA's that need signing (Point especially), with limited $$ available to sign them. Point would be a guy I'd consider a Ghost deal for. The Bolts have a ton of money tied up in forwards already, I think they have 6 guys over $5M/yr. A potential steal like Ghost would look really attractive to them. Would take more than that probably, as Point is going crazy this year, but could be an interesting starting point.
