I didn't see anything last night that I couldn't see many other true freshman QB's doing given the same opportunity.

If you just want to say he is the only true freshman to win a national championship in recent history, then fine say it.

Offense should be downright scary next season. I'd expect a bit of a drop off defensively with all you're losing, but there's a lot of talent behind them too, so it won't be much of one if any.

Yeah man - I'm a UGA convert from back in the day. Clemson just won me over after Herschel never could score against them. Like y'all - a lot, and always have.

OL will be very similar - we'll run all over weak defenses and pass-pro well against everybody. Lost our new flashy TE to a year suspension, I guess (unless his ostarine test-fail appeal works out). '20 looks GOOOOOD finally for OL signees - 3 to 4 high-quality guys on the hook.

Yep - D will be 6-8 new starters in '19. We will probably regress some, but look more similar to '13/'14 on D (one really good edge rusher, LBs/Secondary all definitely as serviceable as ever).

Sure looked a helluva lot better than that running game out of his offense.

Yeah, the dude led his team up and down the field and wasn't throwing picks either. He was a billy badass out there and was a huge part of that win.

NFL teams are going to be tanking games to try to get that very first pick when he's eligible for the draft.

Last night was the first game of his I watched all the way through and he looked pretty damn good. Can’t think of many others that were that good. Johnny Football was unbelievable his first year but I think he was a RS Fr not a true Fr.

He's the first(maybe only) true freshman to win a national championship, so you can list a ton of accomplishments and things that no other true freshman can claim, and that's all a matter of fact. But now you're talking about throwing opinion out there in comparison to others and then you need to take into account context and conditions etc. Maybe some dude was on some shit team and didn't win a national championship, I don't know - I don't do that shit.

To me if you want to make such a claim, then it should be clear cut and I don't see that. To keep with the Clemson thing - it's not like I was watching a Watson type performance out there. If you throw a performance like that in there, then fuck yes he would be without question. But last night, what did he do that was so special?

I don't know about that last statement. That Clemson offense went to an entirely different level when Lawrence took over. Bryant simply isn't capable of making a lot of the throws Lawrence did.

Remember at the beginning of the year, the first few weeks we heard a lot of "Clemson's ranking doesn't match their performance." They've been straight up destroying everyone since he took over with the exception of Syracuse when he was hurt most of the game.
