And most of the rest of us don't give a flying fuck what your opinion is.

Now can we get back to talking about football for heavens sake?

I have an idea, why don't YOU list who you think the Greatest Cfb Coaches of all time are?
It's Nick Saban and everyone else. There isn't much of a debate to be had.

Just to check.

What are your thoughts on the 1984 Narional Championship ?

I wish there had been a playoff that year so that someone could have beaten BYU, or so that BYU could have proven they deserved it.

But then again, I'm coming back around to realizing all the mystery surrounding these controversial endings to seasons and controversial picks of Natl Champs, is part of what I love so much about cfb.

College Football is a zillion times more complicated now and Nick Saban is the standard.

Is that your real reason for inventing all of these other silly objections about me and my character, because I dared to say that Saban isn't MY #1, not yet at least?

My pick HAS SEVEN Natl Titles and it took a world war to end his reign at the top. His Gophers were figured to be the #1 contender to win in 1942. His coaching tree includes Bud Wilkinson, Bud Grant, Biggie Munn and further down, Tony Dungy as well, just to name the biggest names.

I'd say there is plenty to debate.

IMO it's impossible to compare college football prior to the 1970's to today's game so trying to compare coaches from before then to now is a fool's errand. It's even harder if you personally didn't experience the coach in action. Sure you can read about them but everything you read is biased either for or against based upon the author's personal bias.

There's no doubt that Saban is the best coach I have experienced since becoming aware of college football in the early 1980's. IMO Saban would be successful in any era because he's shown multiple times he's capable of adapting his system to fit the needs of the time and I question if the coaches of old would be as flexible.

This guy, at least mid-50s, is the only poster I've encountered with a random photo of a girl as an avy. I don't hang around the NSFW or "Hot Girls" threads that you pervs have here.

And it is fucking weird. It's weird that at one point in time this dude googled or flipped through photos of younger models. Weird that he saved some. And fucking weird that he decided to use them as avys at a sports forum.

I live in Colorado and graduated from CU Boulder. Take your Alabama fan dig and shove it in your ass.

I didn't google "younger models". I'm not in my mid-50s. All of your BS assumptions are wrong you judgmental prick.

Well, maybe I, or someone else will start up new threads, "who was the Greatest Cfb Coach of the first 100 years of Cfb" and "Who was/is the Greatest Cfb Coach of the last 60 or so years of Cfb?" And then I can input a lot of opinion in the one, and very little in the other? lol

I mean, sure, it's hard to compare coaches from different eras, but some people enjoy the discussion.

Sorry I made you all butthurt because I pointed out the premise of your thread is foolish.

As a peace offering I offer this to you since it's plainly obvious you need it.

What gave you the idea I was butthurt? I did clarify that only "some" people like the discussion. And I poked fun of how much I like to talk about the past, compared to more current events, at least in regard to football.

Gopher fans never get butthurt, because we are so used to being screwed over by the UMn Admin for several decades as they seemingly gave up on football from the 50s until the late 90s.

Or did you just need an excuse to show off what you got from Santa for Xmas?

Nah I keep plenty on hand for liberals in political discussions and Big Slow fans in football discussions.

Well then you can't be that bad, lol. Any non-liberals are alright in my book. And not sure about the slow part, but I am definitely not big, lol

Minnesota invented cheerleading

Yes they did. You can look it up if you need to.

Also invented the 4 man backfield and the Minnesota Shift was the progenitor of all modern offensive shifts teams utilize to throw off defenses.
