Lol No offensive pressure for about 30 minutes of game and then suddenly we finally lull the Oilers to sleep and have two great shifts, leading to the goal by Coots.

This shit just makes you wonder. Why the fuck skate around like we're scrimmaging against some kids with cancer and then turn it on midway through the 3rd period down 0-3!?

It's completely out of nowhere that we have something to prove and there is urgency. And then it's gone...again...Lol

Question: Down two goals late and on the power play, one that is ice cold, why do you NOT pull the fucking goalie!?!

Are you fucking kidding me!? Are we playing to win or not!?

Stolie was back in the crease slamming his stick on the ice because he knows too that it's fucking idiotic not to make it a 6 on 4 and go hard at their net.

Al Morganti makes the point I made earlier. The Oilers didn't even fucking play well and they slaughtered us because we didn't put the work in.

Honestly, I think this is the game that does it. We play again tomorrow night, but after that one, I see no reason to keep Hakstol or any of his assistants.

Right now the product on the ice is a fucking disgrace. This was the worst effort we've put in all season long, for me.

I agree with Jones too about the power play. Ghost can't do anything right at this point and he's the guy at the point on our top power play unit, so everything is carrying over. If he struggles in that spot, so does our power play, especially without Jake on the top unit too.

Someone in a Flyer jersey behind Stolie in the crowd was holding up a "Head coach is fired" poster in the 3rd period. I think he's hit the nail on the head with that one. I can't see it any other way right now. We've lost 10 of our last 13 and none looked worse than tonight.

There's little to no hope of saving the season at this point, might as well clear them all out and get someone in to start teaching a new system. At least they can get a head start on a new system long before next season, because this one's a wash.

Last year we had goalie issues but we also would put 30-40 shots on goal.....they aren't even putting shots on goal like they used to.

This team is mentally broken. And they aren't even trying to hide it.

Well, no, I'm saying there's plenty of hope to save the season, but it involves firing Hakstol and his assistants and bringing in Quenneville and his. If we stay the course, this looks impossible right now.

Still 52 games left to save the season.

After watching this cross Canada trip, it would take a Hurculean effort to go anywhere. And they are showing in more ways than one, they are broken, broken very badly.
I'd love nothing more than to see these guys string together a shit ton of wins. But let's be realistic 3 wins in a row is a stretch for them at this point.

12/15/17: 4 points back, one team to jump, 1 game in hand

12/15/18: 6 points back, 5 teams to jump, 1 game in hand

The hill is significantly taller this year..

I’m really starting to lose faith in them being able to climb out of this. It might be time to set your eyes on the draft and next season. Sell some pieces at the deadline (Simmonds, Raffl, Elliot maybe), hopefully get some value that can help in short order, and circle the wagons for free agency.

Still not interested in blowing up the core, but the holes need to be addressed before next season.

Sportsnet announcers were baffled at why the Flyer's were so bad. You look at the talent and go how? Even said Stoli has been decent so you can't nail goaltending. G smashed his stick after one of the PP's. Confidence is a big thing but sometimes a change is necessary. If you don't want to fire the coach I'm sending Mcdonald to the presser or ahl, Lindblom to ahl, firing pp coach immediately and bringing up some hungry players. If no change Haks has to go soon after although I'm not sure that he's the problem he's definitely not helping the situation. Time for a fuckin rum...
