Now that is the veteranship of Phillip Rivers teaching Maholmes a young boy lesson. I thought the chargers were stupid to go for two over taking it to overtime, but now I can see why given the home advantage for KC and the fact that XPs are risky nowadays.

Rivers taught Mahomes how to cry to the refs with his helmet off until Reid calls a TO to save him from an embarassing delay of game sequence?

Using Rivers of all QBs to talk about veteran presence? This board is so weird.

Yeah, that idiocy almost cost them the game.

I get that he wanted a helmet-to-helmet penalty, but he wasn't getting it from THAT crew. Just move on and keep focused on scoring.

As it turned out, the loss of time probably benefited them, since Mahomes didn't get a chance to toss up a hail mary.

Lucky >>> good

I am pretty shook with the Kendall Fuller injury. The loss I don't honestly care that much about the way it happened. If they need to repeat a sub 1% situation to win- have at it, Chargers, have at it.

IF Rodgers can’t pull off the miracle this season I want Rivers to get his first ring.

I agree. Sad that he would 'need' one to justify his career...or at least that's what a lot of people try and tell me. He's been a very, very good QB for a long time.

Most fans are truly idiots. Shame on everyone trying to say Rivers is a choker or whatever BS because no SB.

It's one thing when random AFC West fan hates on Rivers...

I always felt like if the Giants had taken him and kept him, instead of doing Archie Manning a solid, that he and the Giants would have at least done as well as winning two Superbowls.

I know the standard comeback is usually "Rivers can't beat Brady," but he would have had those NYG defenses that carried Eli

Sadder yet is that the bulk of them simply parrot what the media tell them. Truly amazing that people actually get into that position to spread their shit.

Absolutely. Eli Manning can't carry Rivers' jock. Given the choice, I'd take Rivers every single time over EM.

Now KC has to beat a red hot Seattle or LA will need to lose to Baltimore. KC with all they have done this season could end up a wild card. :dhd:

Seattle can rest starters, potentially. Let's chill with the Seattle hype when they have beaten absolutely nobody this year.

Not that it would matter really, the chiefs were going to be one and done regardless of their seed because that's what they do.

If they are the #5 seed, they would travel to balt or Pitt it looks like

I'm not so sure about that with Maholmes. Baltimore could beat them, but Houston no.

I do agree with you Moose on chilling with the hype. I strongly disagree with Seattle resting starters though. If it was the final week, maybe but not with 2 to go. And Pete and the Hawks will want to play that game in a meaningful way. They won't give an inch at home. Doesn't mean I think they will win because I believe KC wins that game. Just that the resting guys narrative is way off base.

Winning the division is still a long shot for them so I don't think they had anything to lose by going for it.

1 horrible call and 1 missed call by the refs molded that game. BS DPI on the Chiefs to put the Chargers at the 1 yard line and a missed OPI on the Chargers on that last TD. Great last drive by Rivers but, for me, it was tainted by the refs.

eh, not really .... chiefs lose in seattle and chargers win their last 2 and chargers win the division ... not really an outrageous scenario
