The playoffs start in 2 weeks when Alabama plays Georgia.

That's what happens when you play for national championships instead of division titles.

Well, in order to play for the conference title, you have to win the division title. Isn't that how it works?

They may be a tad low but for the most part I think the committee has it right. They don’t have the schedule. Their nonconference was crap again this season which is an absolute killer.

They are talented though, super fast and explosive on offense. It was fun seeing them kick Auburn’s ass in the Peach, a team that slapped Alabama and Georgia around. I enjoy watching them play. They will be a problem for their opponent in the Fiesta. If it’s LSU like some projections are showing, I think they beat them. LSU’s offense sucks.

So you're basically talking about lesser teams in a lesser conference doing the same things other conferences do.

Because apparently, LSU and Miss St weren't playing for their division?

Don't talk to me like that. Just because you're a playoff team doesn't mean you can act like ... err, wait... nvm.

Colorado fan talking shit is priceless. First get your facts straight. Next, stop talking shit on other teams when your last relevant team was 20 plus years ago.

There is an argument that UCF would get killed by top 5 team only because of their schedule is stupid. Arkansas who only won 2 games all year put up 31 points on Alabama and their defense is loaded with 5 star recruits.

I tell you what a UCF game vs Alabama or any of these elite teams would kill in ratings it would be a complete waste of an opportunity if they go undefeated for 2 straight years. I guarantee you these top level teams that want to have an undefeated season would not want to face UCF on their schedule they would have more to lose than gain from a win

No one's saying it's only because of their schedule. So the computers say that the average top 25 team would have a 42% chance of going undefeated with UCF's schedule. So, if roughly 12 of the teams would have UCF's record, they need to be blowing out opponents to the tune of 60-10 every game. But they're not. They fail the eye test, with a defense that has allowed 33, 36, 30, and 40 points to Austin Peay, Florida Atlantic, Memphis, and Temple respectively. They also have struggled in several matchups. If they want to impress people, they need to either start blowing out every opponent, or schedule good out of conference games. I was impressed as hell with Boise State, because, even if it is easier to get up for one game than ten, they could point at Oregon, Virginia Tech, Georgia, TCU, Michigan State, and say "We beat them like a red-headed step child." But instead of top teams, UCF scheduled South Carolina State, Austin Peay, and SMU. As it is, I look at UCF and think "[Bama, Clemson, Michigan, Notre Dame, Georgia, Oklahoma, Ohio State (shocking - as bad as they are)] could beat these cupcakes worse if they wanted."

Also, I do not believe that teams are scared of scheduling them. You think Clemson sees less of a threat from Georgia, Notre Dame, or LSU than UCF? Please. And as you said, maybe ratings would kill and make them a ton of money.

That said, I do think there should be a route for any undefeated team to the show. I like:
  • 8 team format
  • 5 P5 Champions
  • 1 top ranked G5 Champion
  • 2 at large teams (So Bama if they lose too many games to get in as SEC champion).
  • Base seeding on ranks - and I think it would be okay to use the coaches poll for that.

Yadi, yadi, yada...

Can't wait for the reaction when Holgorsen entertains the job offer from Colorado.

Too bad UCF's game with (2-8) North Carolina got cancelled this season.

If it hadn't they could get credit for beating them like those P5's Cal, Pitt, Va Tech, Miami, Syracuse, Virginia, Georgia Tech, and Duke, all do.
yep

i remember all those threads wondering if those teams could possibly be one of the top 4 in the country...

No, I call people a dumbass for stating something that is irrefutably wrong. He stated UCF stadium holds more than WVU. It doesn’t.

Ohh and PS, Oklahoma State is beating both Cincinnati and your deep throating knights. Any other stupid questions?

Hehehe, you can have him if he wants. But I doubt he’s that stupid.

Cause Notre Dame's out of conference schedule is always so grueling.

Wait...
their normal schedule is always tough though, they don't need as strong of an OOC because of that
